I think it's kind of bogus to expect everyone to check pages of threads to see if their new topic idea is taken already.

I wasn't trying to imply that... it only occurred to me since I had started a similar topic before.  Believe me, it's nothing personal nor do I take issue with a new one being created.

Oh, I know, I'm just speaking generally.  No attack on anyone.  I just wouldn't see how anyone could possibly be reprimanded for not doing their research before making a new thread.  Sounds crazy to me.  Ya know.

...and to bring this thread back on topic somewhat (sorry, Lady N! ), I should put all of my avatars in one subdirectory on my webspace so I don't have to keep searching through my "misc" directory for them!

Sorry for the further derail, but I just wanted to clarify something:

In an analysis thread, yeah, we'd like it if people looked up the old stuff and bumped the old threads because having the same conversations over and over would get boring. For anything else, I expect people to use their own judgement, and starting a new thread for this is just fine by me. It's the really brain-twisting, content-heavy stuff that people should look up, not only because it stops a major redux problem from happening, but we already make enough overlapping analysis threads that it gets redux all on its own. That plus the purpose of threads is to see what everyone else thinks, and if there's material already there, it's a bonus.

Yes, I remember I noticed that. Yours was lovely, as most of your icons are. I especially like this one from your last post.

I am fond of that one, too. And it was surprisingly easy, too. The tutorial is here, if you want to give it a try. It's made in PSP, I think, but it is still translatable. :3
