No, they changed her pincushion sequence.

I do enjoy that they were kind enough to tell us the episode number of each one though. I mean, I only knew the important ones. I find it odd they call each one a duel though.


And the songs are kinda remastered or whatever too, but it kinda just sounds more like someone fucked with your stereo equalizer or something instead of like... actually doing anything.

There are also a few still shots they changed, like after Shiori looks up at Ruka after his duel she looks more sad instead of OMG SHOCK! which I actually do have a picture of this time.



That entire episode was done horribly. So, they decided to change HER FACE. I can only assume they felt the original was VERY WRONG from the way they felt Shiori rolled or something, cause I mean, of EVERYTHING, they needed to change that face.

Are those two pics of Shiori really the same shot?  I can't tell for sure from the discussion which one is the remastered version, but if they're the same shot then someone digitally edited in or out part of a broken windshield at top right of the frame.

God dammit. Yasha also wants me to say something about Crash the movie in this thread as there is a car crash being discussed. If you've never seen Crash, it's about people who get turned on by car crashes and car crash victims. You know, the sort of people that would drive a convertible through windows, walls, into living rooms, into fountains, and over Juri.

Regarding the forum being remastered...if someone has that much time to waste copying then reformatting one older threads it would be very funny or disturbing. Hell those two ideas need not be mutually exclusive. As for more special edits every time you type a main cast members name it turns in to a certain corresponding color/effect. For example DIOS would be in twinkling, flashing, sparkles.

There certainly was animation fail towards the end of the series, but everyone seems to talk like it was only at the end of the series. I would like to refute this. There are much earlier episodes that could have used some touching-up.

Oh yeah, I definitely recognize those and more moments earlier in the series as totally worth a retouching, I just feel like it's more easily noticeable towards the end, where almost everything had lacking animation and not just a few  frames.

And really? I always thought the beginning was far more guilty of horrible animation quality.



I do have a special love for eyeliner Touga though.

The first time I watched that episode I had to take off my glasses; I was crying so much I couldn't see with them on.

A ten year old cousin of mine had been watching the series with me on and off. She actually ran out of the room when Anthy's hand slipped from Utena's, she wanted to hide that she was crying.
