This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
I'm not a huge Harry Potter fan, but after we saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, I got curious about the Pottermore quizzes and took them all. My results were... really fucking odd.
Okay, first off, Ilvermornay House. I dunno much about it, but...
Hey, okay, that's pretty cool. It thinks I'm a smart guy. Okay, next up, Hogwarts house.
Uhhh...
Guys, I'm a Ravenclaw. I thought I was, anyway. I guess not.
Actually, Gio and I got reversed. We thought she would be a Slytherin and I would be a Ravenclaw, but nope, she's Ravenclaw and I'm Slytherin.
I guess I'm sneaky and ambitious? And possibly a badguy?
All right, well, Patronus, then.
UHHH
Guys, what???
Oh my god, whoever heard of a Slytherin with a swaaaaaaaaaaaan patronus? All the other Slytherins will laugh at me!
Better check my wand.
OH MY GOD UNICORN HAIR
I AM THE FAIRYEST SLYTHERIN
Well I guess I better check out the details. I mean, I'm feeling really weird about all this.
UMMMMMMMMMM
I am an intimidating unicorn swan. Very scary. Very.
I am scary, but not evil? A scary but not evil Slytherin unicorn swan???? UMMM
HEY. How rude. Scary unicorn swan's character isn't lacking anything!
Well, except coherence.
Okay, that's pretty on point. I'm stubborn as shit.
Final Verdict:
Whoever this is, I can only picture her as like a spoiled princess in the Slytherin house, shrieking and getting stubborn if she doesn't get her way, flouncing around in pretty dresses and making a scene whenever she feels like she's not getting enough attention. Like... wow. Potterverse me is a freak. Wait, no. Potterverse me is Nanami.
Well, there's an alternate interpretation when I think about it, of course. She could be one of those people who pretends to be totally harmless and ineffectual by displaying the supposedly weaker parts of her personality like overt femininity or love for animals, but on the inside is plotting and scheming and using people to gain power, and eventually getting control of things for herself...
...oh my god, I'm Umbridge.
Has anyone else taken these? What did you get?
Offline
Does that mean that Namami has the capacity to become Umbridge-equse if she grows up? That makes sense, but it's terrifying.
Well, this does sound fun! Let's see what I get.
Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff (I've gotten this result before, so... Not a big surprise?)
Ilvermornay House: Thunderbird! (Not only I got one that's fun to say, apparently I'm a soulful adventurer in addition to being a kind and loyal person?)
Patronus: I got a Siberian Cat. I'm pretty sure I got a different result last time, though I figure with the quiz being word associations...
But basically I got a highly domesticated feline that is good at jumping. Also, it's not unusual, which prompted me to sing a snippet of the song.
Wand: Cedar, unicorn hair, 11 3/4 inches, unyielding. With strong character, loyalty, a desire to defend what I hold dear, faithfulness, consistent, and with the least blockage of magic? I know I shouldn't be surprised, but here we are.
Though the stubbornness sort of threw me off, I guess.

God, if Nanami grew up to be Umbridge... just set Ohtori on fire right then and there. Just burn it all down. It would be more merciful.
How accurate do you think your results were? Your results make you sound like a pretty cool person if they're accurate. And I wanted a cat patronus, I'm a crazy cat lady

I'd say about 60-65 percent, even if it's just cherry picking from what traits I can gather from myself. It's sort of weird trying to phase something about yourself from a few words though. I'm pretty sure that in a few years, there would be a bit of a difference in what I get, even if I'm still a stubbornly kind person apparently.
And regarding patronuses, its sort of considered the odd quiz out of the bunch, since it doesn't really explain the results other than the string of words that are easy to speed through. I'd let you barrow mine if that's even possible in a magical sense!

In spite of my bleating about how none of the other Slytherins would take my patronus seriously, I think mine was probably about 80% accurate. The house thing kinda threw me off, because I didn't figure that set of traits would express that strongly, but it's not stuff that isn't there.
The patronus test really is the odd one out, isn't it? Gio and I did ours fairly close together, and I think we managed to determine that the test gives you different sets of answers for the same questions sometimes. I sort of wonder how it was constructed, like if your previous answers affect which sets of answers you're given to choose from. That's the kind of thing I would do if I was making a test like that.

Aww, thanks

I gotta pull my results up. I would say they overall represented me pretty well, although I was surprised my wand wasn't a totally rigid piece of fiberglass because I'm about as flexible as corpse in rigor. I did get Ravenclaw, but I feel like that must have been a close thing, and my scarf is Slytherin so eat it, stupid fucking hat.
Also, being in Ravenclaw is kind of the safe easy way to be super Slytherin because no one suspects you. Ravenclaws get to look at all the books, experiment, and on the whole draw less suspicion, should you be inclined for some reason to do suspicious things.

Sorry for the meddling but I'm a big fan of Harry Potter, almost as much as the libido of Akio who fucks everything that moves.
I always thought that Nanami would be some type of hysterical queen version of Draco Malfoy
That's what i got:

High five! You're in my houses! At least my flouncy fairy Slytherin self will have company.

Hey, swans are tough. One chased me once.
I looked up ocicats and apparently they're a pretty loyal and smart cat breed that can be taught tricks. They're almost a little bit like dogs. It's fitting for a Hufflepuff.

I definitely got some bizarre answers then what I expected but well...
Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw. Ok, what? I usually consider myself as a soft and emotional guy not the smarty ass pants who is responsible. I guess I am smarter and more then I thought, but I am still better for Hufflepuff.
Ilvermorny House: Pukwudgie. Fitting, seeing how I am a person who is true to his heart and wants to help whoever I can.
Wand: Alder wood, 14 1/2 long flexible phoenix wand. Weird I got Alder, since while I am considerate, I am not helpful and I am very obstinate. Autism doesn't help with that either. I got phoenix bitches, I am the rarest in the land, ohohohoho .But it means I got some hard work to do to tame that stuff . My flexible wand is very unique, and thats what Im all about, so yay.
Patronus: A mutherfucking Kingfisher. Not useful even one bit. Like, honey, can you even protect me from a fist? But it probably makes a great (Mystic)messenger, so that gr8.
Also Riri-Kins High five for getting the same Pheonix wing in our wand!

Had to go digging for my results again, and gosh, it reminds me that I wish Pottermore had a little more allure to visit in. It's a shame to never really use it...
Can't say I was too surprised or upset with Slytherin! I'd never really claimed a Hogwarts house on my own because it just doesn't seem possible to be totally objective and I always felt like I was overvaluing traits I might not really even have. I liked Slytherin, but didn't identify with it over anything else. It is what it is!
I remember when I got Horned Serpent, I thought "I'm a fucking Slytherin again?" but found the description to be more Ravenclaw-esque. Like most fans (probably) I had no real knowledge or preference among Ilvermorny houses so I have no complaint!
Also: Yasha and Wolfgang, double-snake high five? Quadruple-snake? Sextuple-snake?
The only result I cared about.
The wand seems like the most fun to learn about to me, what did you all think? With so many elements that resulted in different combinations of meanings, this seems like it has a lot to potentially personalize, at least. Hornbeam wood, unicorn hair, slightly springy-- I'm fine with those things! But 14.5 inches seems pretty long, I feel like this was assigned to me purely based on height and not strength of personality or anything.

Kind of annoying you have to sign up to take these quizzes, but oh well. I was still willing to do it!
Ravenclaw: I'm pretty surprised about this. I figured I'd get a Gryffindor or Hufflepuff, because I don't consider myself very clever or witty. But I'm not too adventurous either, I suppose.
Er... was Ilvermorny one of the schools competing in the fourth book? Or is it new? ...Yeah, I haven't been up to date in the Harry Potter fandom for a while
Pukwudgie: Despite not knowing much about the Ilvermorny houses, I think I agree with this a lot. It says this house represents the heart, and I'm a very emotional person.
Mountain Hare: D'aww, a cute one. Though I wish I got a tougher Patronus like a bear to protect me.
Hornbeam wood with a unicorn hair core, 11 ¼" and rigid flexibility: Hornbeam selects its life mate based on having an obsession/passion, and being very idealistic (sounds like me). Unicorn hair is faithful and pure (sounds... kinda like me a little?). Rigid flexibility, which means adverse to change (yeah, sounds like me).
These were fun!

Heck yeah, we're both confused Ravenclaws and understanding Pukwudgies, itavin!
Doc/doll, we've also got some pretty similar wands!

Slytherin. Thought I was going to be Ravenclaw, but I don't consider this inaccurate.
Ilvermorny house: Thunderbird repreents the soul and favors adventurers. Sounds legit, but hopefully it'll be fleshed out more eventually.
Patronus:Hyena. They're scavengers, not quite cats and not quite dogs. Smell terrible, fairly matriarchal, will eat humans. Sounds legit.
Wand: Black Walnut wood with a Unicorn hair core 11 ½" and Unyielding flexibility
Black walnut wands want a user that is self-aware and sincere with good instincts and powerful insight, and its performance is based on how honest the user is with themselves and other people. But with a good owner, it's amazing at charmwork. A lot of us have unicorn cores, so I don't have to go over it again, but the loyalty factor is a good balance for the black walnut's issues. My wand length is dead-center in the range (9-14), and I'm apparently not terribly flexible, but I think it caught me in a bad headspace.

Raven, your patronus is really cool. I love hyenas, they're so awesome
Offline
Hogwart's House - Ravenclaw. It couldn't have been anything else.
Ilvermorny House - Pukwudgie. Absolutely no clue.
Wand - Fir wood with a Unicorn hair core 11 ¾" and Unyielding flexibility. I think Yasha and I have the exact same wand save for its length. How a Juri fan got a longer rod than a Touga fan is a question that should be investigated further.
Patronus - Field Mouse. I can't even... According to the Patronus meaning Tumblr: If this is your patronus you have a loving heart. Compared to those around you it seems you glow with warmth. You have a sweet and quiet nature which makes you a good listener. This quietness, however, can lead others to try and push you around. If the field mouse is your patronus it is likely you are very aware of your surroundings and of others feelings. This is another characteristic which contributes to your fantastic listening skills. You’re perceptive and often see something is upsetting a person before they do themselves. It is extremely uncommon for you to upset someone. This patronus is most commonly found in Hufflepuff but is occasionally found in the other houses. Um...maybe? I don't feel like that represents me, but I suppose if it did, I also wouldn't realize or recognize it.
