Questions about Utena symbolism

Confused about some symbolism in the anime.  What, for exmample, is your interpretation on the part in episode 39 where after Anthy [ stabs Utena ] we hear the sound of children laughing in the background and that shot of the caraousel spinning?

Also, what about the apple speared with forks that Akio was feeding to Kanae or the skipping music during the Cantarella scene and the same shot but without Utena and Anthy when they agreed to laugh together and drink tea.

It's the analysis catalogue. The thing is you've pretty much picked some of the  most surreal symbolism (towards the end) a lot of which has multiple/ contradictory analyses. Not so easy to just explain concretely in a few sentences. emot-gonk
