okay i was reading the utena mangas again for the umpteen time and i noticeted somethings that i havent noticeted before.
1: pg 117 of rgu vol 1 to till
anthy's dress is long sleeve and she is wearing gloves. what is it winter time?
and in the rest of the series her dress has no sleeves and she just wears the cuffs to the sleves. wtf.
2: pg 87 of rgu vol 4 to bud
utena is wearing her pj's and chuchu is braiding her hair.
pg 89 she is wearing her school unforim and her hair is all straight agian.
3: vol1 to till
utena calls her prince mr. lickylick
and once she gets to ohtori she totally just calls him her prince or dios.

you got to think about it what would of happen if kaido never told utena about the pics on the back of the postcards. would she have just gone to amesterdam with her aunt and aio?

Kaido never got mentioned again, did her? I mean, he showed her the way to Ohtori man, I think he deserved a shout out at least. D:
(The omake in the end actually has the question "Who is this?" in reference to him. So sadly forgettable. :(

true i think they based those three boys off of his character but come on why not have a prolgue in the anime. they need to go back and redo the series like and ova. follow the manga alot more. i like the story utena tells in the manga of how she meet her prince. well i guess they needed to stick to more fairytale like in the anime.

Yeah, I think having a prologue like that in the anime would detract from the sense of Ohtori as an isolated microcosm, which is a cool motif, if inconsistently developed (for instance, Nanami and crew traveling to Africa kind of ruins it, but hey, it's a Nanami episode). As for the other manga elements, keep 'em away! I like the episode 34 Dios flashback infinitely more than the manga bridge-jumping scene.

also what was with the kangroo? the one that touga beats up? i mean the series took like a whole different direction when it came to nanami. and i think they should put a proluge in is because i have had friends sit down watch the series then the movie and they still are like huh:confused: and when i get them to finally read the manga's their like yeah there should of been a prolouge to tell us what utena did to get to ohtori. because in the very first episode is utena a new student or has she been there since forever? you really gots to wonder. but nanami is just one of those intersting characters. im glad they put her in but they didnt need to make her episodes so acid trippy. and im also glad they put shiori in. she was never introduced into the manga so im glad they explained why juri really has a stick up her ass.
