This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Kunihiko Ikuhara Materials

Oh, that wacky director Ikuni. He's a barrel of laughs.  I searched around online for a little bit and turned up every interview that Google could find me, for the purposes of providing a more semi-comprehensive set of links here. school-eng101 At least, comprehensive in terms of Ikuhara interviews available online. Some of them are more fun and/or interesting than others, of course.

Re: Kunihiko Ikuhara Materials

These are awesome!  emot-biggrin  But "Akadot Drinking Game" is the same as "Akadot Interview (February 2001)."  And it doesn't seem to be a drinking game, so I'm guessing you meant this link: http://www.akadot.com/article.php?a=29

Re: Kunihiko Ikuhara Materials

These were a blast. Also, I hate that man. emot-mad

Srsly, if I ever ran into him, I'd punch him.

Coincidentally, I'd do the same thing to Tom Cruise, who he seems to think he resembles.

There are piles of interviews in the artbooks with other people involved in the series. I frankly suspect the weird symbolic references to paintings and such weren't all Ikuhara's idea.

Akio, you have nice turns of phrase, but your points aren't clear and you have no textual support. I can't give this a passing grade.
