This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

The Satellite of Revolution

It has come to my attention that not everyone knows about this site anymore. This site was made by Chris Rain, to riff the shit out of bad fics. It's old. There are no more chapters forthcoming. But this is the one site I have always felt needed to be archived for posterity.

It is just that goddamn funny.

So, anyone who doesn't know about this site, check it out. You will laugh your ass off.

Anyone who has read the fics-- reread! And rejoice, because back in '08, I managed to get a hold of Chris Rain, asking to host this site here at Empty Movement, and Chris graciously gave permission.

This thread is now dedicated to expressions of surprise and adoration over how awesome the site is and/or devotion and thanks that this site will never go away. emot-keke

No, this thread is about cat-o-sixty-nine-tails and raping pretty redheads with members large enough for terrists to fly planes into.

Akio, you have nice turns of phrase, but your points aren't clear and you have no textual support. I can't give this a passing grade.

And spherical.  IIRC, the member in question is definitely spherical.

Re: The Satellite of Revolution

I think that means he does the saline injection thing and has a super loose foreskin.

Re: The Satellite of Revolution

No, saline injection is done on the scrotum. They look like little hams afterward. emot-keke

I believe the member in question was also midnight-colored. Which, for my part, brought to mind Akio squatting over a bucket of ink and then sticking little stars on it afterward.

I guess he has a fetish emot-confused

Re: The Satellite of Revolution

I love that site. Back when I first saw it I pretty much gibbered with laughter in the middle of the night and woke people up. I should read that stuff again, some time.  A pity that it's no longer updated...

Re: The Satellite of Revolution

To avoid thinking about the stories, the webmaster probably put on a ski suit that made him look like a pumpkin or a blueberry and went down a mountain, although "you wouldn’t think that unless you had an extremely mean or bizarre mind."

Oh man, "an extremely mean or bizarre mind." That takes me back. emot-gonk

Anyway, this site is truly classic. It was a major inspiration for me to start writing MSTings myself. Probably more so than actual MST3k, now that I think about it. I don't appreciate them quite as much now as I used to, but still, good stuff. etc-love

Gawd, these are still hilarious. Screw Ron White; Akio had the original cheese wheel.

Re: The Satellite of Revolution

These remind me that SKU used to actually have an Internets Fandom, of the sort with incredibly horrible mary sue fics and rabid slaughtering of characters for emotional benefit. These days, we're the few, the proud....but man there where some whacky people back then emot-gonk

Re: The Satellite of Revolution

Baka Kakumei Reanna was on the forum for a while, no idea if she's still around.
