This is a bit of pimping for a new multifandom game I'm involved in that just started up at the end of last month. Already it seems to be going strong in terms of writing quality and number of posts, and I'm excited to get more players involved! If you hurry, there might still be time for you to get an application in before the fun of our first period of "night" starts in two weeks. ;) Also, I play Utena there currently, so if anyone wants to throw in other characters from Ohtori to join her, they're more than welcome to (all other fandoms welcome as well! ).

Good morning! Or is it evening? There's no way to tell in this place, because there're no windows. The ones on the outside are just painted on.

There's no front door, either. Just hallways and rooms and doors that look a little different than the other doors. Want to open them? Go ahead.

Nobody knows how you wound up here, least of all you. But you're here now, in this haunted house, and it's time to play a game! A never-ending game of chess!

It's more like a never-ending game of Risk, actually. There are territories, and they're ripe to be taken. Ally yourself with one and fight for their victory overall, or switch allegiances all the time - it's up to you.

Or you can stay neutral and watch the fights go on while trying to find a way out. But since there isn't one, why don't you just play the game? Maybe you'll get some great prizes, or maybe you'll be eaten by a Grue. Who knows? That's what makes this all so fun!

Do something, anyway. There's no way out, only a few places are safe, and the turf wars that go on are deadly. And if you think you can just die your way out, think again: you're coming back whether you want to or not.

Live, fight, die, respawn, repeat. It doesn't stop and never ends. Maybe it'll pause once or twice, but not for very long. It's one hell of a vicious cycle. Sucks, doesn't it?

Vicious Cycle is a Livejournal-based survival horror RPG. Players will guide their characters through a windowless haunted house while being taunted by unseen voices and attacked by countless monsters of varying strengths. Their goal is not to escape, but to complete challenges and quests, and to either help out the house's strongest enemies - the bosses - in taking over each other's territory, or take them all down.

When your character first wakes up in the game, they will be in the main lounge of the house. They will have nothing but the clothes on their back and a strange black device in their pocket. All their powers will be sapped, and any weapons they may have had will be gone. It's up to them to decide what to do: try to escape, complete the challenges, or try to gain power over everyone else ...
