Re: Pet Whoring

Oh hon, I'm so sorry to hear that. I've had to put a pet down before. Much love to you-- Bast will take care of her.

Edit: She even looks a little like my Slater. Pretty girl.

Akio, you have nice turns of phrase, but your points aren't clear and you have no textual support. I can't give this a passing grade.

From someone who lost her cat familiar about a year ago in much the same way...I understand.

You all are too kind. Thank you for the support. It really means a lot to me.

Also, Yasha, I think your snake and Betta fish are really cool. Vicious looks like it'd cut your face if you looked at it wrong. emot-smile

I told Vicious you said that, and he responded by flaring out his gills and beard and trying to intimidate me into giving him more food. It worked, but only because I hadn't fed him yet emot-keke

Hugs again from me, hon.

Re: Pet Whoring

I am so sorry Florence. Its really hard to lose a pet, they are more than just pets they are your family members and not too many people get that...Its very difficult, but it becomes easier to cope with as time goes on. Sometimes I cry about my dog still..but no matter what sadness, always hold close the good times and memories. What really helped me was this website, http://www.gonetoosoon.org/. Its nice to have a page of any kind and have a place to go to to pay respects, its good therapy..and you meet kind people there.

My dog, Faline, died last year on February 7th. She was fourteen years old, and not a day goes by that I don't think of her. Her death traumatized me (I don't want to talk about it, it causes flashbacks I'm sorry) but I smile when I think of her.

She loved being with us, she had a spunky attitude. She acted kinda distant and wasn't too much of a mush as she got older, but she would always wait for everyone to go to bed at the top of the stairs..she wouldn't sleep until everyone was in bed.

She loved eating left over ice cream and italian ice.

She loved opening gifts on Christmas, she always knew which ones were hers.
