It seems like everyone is as divided as me. I would get both but I really would rather just have one.. for job purposes too but also I just don't want to have too many piercings to deal with..but they're all so nice!

I got my first belly-button piercing jewelry for Christmas. I took out my original jewelry for the first time (was scared to at first) and put in one of the new pieces. And I'm so happy because it looks like my piercing has healed! Its been less than five months and for several months I've been trying to figure out if its been healed or not but now I'm pretty sure it is. Just in case, I soaked the new jewelry in alcohol before putting it in. But I'm so happy about it!

Oh....I love piercings. Got 15.

The only one you mentioned that slightly squicks me are the nipples. Doesn't that hurt like hell?

lawl. No, the nipple piercing was fine, my nose was worse, we were talking while he was doing it so it wasn't all that bad. I guess the weird bit was that the first guy to touch my boob was doing it to stab a big ol' needle in it. XD
I forgot my tongue piercing! Went along to get it done and they'd run out of painkillers. Had it done anyway like. It wasn't half bad...kind of enjoyed it, actually.
But yeah, piercings are great, I'd recommend them to anyone as long as you can take care of them properly. My goal is over twenty.

Just thinking about it from the work angle, I would avoid anything on the hands. The chances of you getting in a situation in a normal work environment that might tear it are... it makes my brain hurt thinking about it, really.

Also, good to know the technical name for the only other piercing I have ever wanted (the helix).

The idea of even getting another piercing makes my insides all shrivel up, and an at home one scares me. (Reasoning being that my ear piercings hurt like bloody hell, and I know those are supposed to be wimpy little piercings) They can be gorgeous things, but some of them really do make me squicky (like I never ever wand to look at male genital piercings ever again).

Almost... ten years ago now, actually. Yeesh, I feel old, since I was 15 or so when I got them. And, uh, since I get little to no period pains, that's a rather poor comparison. XD Anyway, I had heard they'd redone the ear-piercing tech in most of the shops so it was less painful, but that was after I got them pierced. I'm sure getting it done at a reputable piercing shop would help too (the ears were done at... a Claire's, I think), but it doesn't help I'm also still paranoid about what my mom would say. Plz to be not laughing. >>;;;

Someone cuts their finger and I'm horrified. Bit weird when you have 17 piercings.
