In Polish (not to mention most other Slavic languages), the letter J is pronounced like the English Y. So Juri, spelled with the same Romanji, would be pronounced "Yuri". I'm sure it's not intentional but it's still a spooky coincidence.
Somewhere, there is an unplugged toaster sitting on a Coleman stove.
Does it feel lonely?

Hee... You know, I wouldn't be too sure it's unintentional. I doubt the team was thinking about Slavic languages, but they might well have been conscious of how close those words sounded. Her first episode to herself is called Unfulfilled Juri, and it is about unfulfilled yuri. Just sayin'.

In Polish I always pronounce her name "Yuri" since "Juri" sounds a bit off. Or is it just me?
I was thinking about stained glasses for all the duels and then I thought: hey, what if Utena's rose color is not so much about innocence after all as it is all the other 'colors' combined.

Similar room-design, same planet, both used for heart-to-heart chats [and again later in the film, albeit not with Saturn]...
