You see a lot of anime and video game music lifted for use on news shows and other programming in Japan; I think the first time I noticed it was with the Granasaber theme from Grandia II. In the last year or so, Utena has gotten a lot of play -- I wonder if the broadcasting companies license the rights to the music, or if there are simply some rather devoted otaku in Sound Editing.
