OK, so the anime man has opend up a poll where you vote for which shows are you're favorite to see what are the top 100 anime shows are according to the west. I want utena to get a nice spot in those top 100 anime, so please vote up and make utena proud. Also, utena was ranked 30 in the top 100 anime according to Japan.

I'm interested to see how this will turn out. Obviously it'll depend a lot on the kind of audience it reaches. Looking at the Japanese version, some of the results seem kind of crazy. It's this weird mix of old classics and recent fads, and when you look at the difference between the men's list and the women's list and compare with the overall result, you can see that the numbers must be pretty skewed. I wonder how it'll work out with this one.

Today the anime man posted a video showing the top 100 anime according to American viewers. There were over half a million votes, and... utena didn't get in. This is a real shame since thus could have been a way to get people into the show.
Also, the list is the most prefictibale shit I have ever seen. From the top 50 it was so obvious what were the picks its quite sad, comapred to the verstaile and mostly diverse anime that were on the top 50.
So in conclusion, utena will probably still stay in its now niche fandom (from what I understand the show was pretty big in the 90s but now it doesn't seem like that)
