This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
From the point of view of someone who has spent the last few months pidding her pants over Deneve and jonesing for some JeanxClaire slash, Claymore is WAY overrated. It's probably one of the better action manga/anime out there but that doesn't mean I have to hear about it all the constantly.

Miyazaki. Honestly, I have trouble finishing these movies. They all feel like an anime episode that just goes on and on and on and on. I'm getting used to the art style, but a truly captivating movie shouldn't FEEL that damn drawn out. And I positively hated Mononoke-hime.
I know what you mean, for me I think it's not knowing where the story is going; things seem to meander too much. Although I didn't hate Princess Mononoke, it's definitely my least favourite of his films that I've seen. I find most of them enjoyable, but not exceptionally so. Then again, I don't get that 'special feeling' from watching Disney animated movies either.
