Live Action Utena Dream Cast
If Utena was made into a live action show, who would you have as each of the characters. I wish I could remember where, but I saw a model who looked like the living image of Utena in an ad... it was a few years ago, so I have since lost the picture and have no idea who the model was.
Pictures or links to pictures would be greatly appreciated~!

I'm forced to wonder just how tall Ikuhara is though. The only standing picture I have is him as SailorMars. 
...on a non-Ruka note, I really liked Musical Anthy as a real life Anthy.
Too bad there could never be a real life equivalent to Akio.

I actually like how Sarah looks as Utena here. Maybe it's the big eyes. And the cute-but-kinda-badass air.

A friend of mine at Chicago looks frigging exactly like Utena when she cosplays. It would take a hell of a similar-looking actress to pull Utena off without making me think "eh, K____ did it better."
I think that moll from "Bound" would make a great Anthy. What was her name? Jennifer Tilly... now if only she looked younger. I don't know that Gina Gershon could pull off Utena even if her age was right, though.
Fabio would make an awesome Touga.

Some of those are pretty good, but buffy as utena is...I don't know a little too almost predictable. I don't know who would be good as utena though, but I love the idea of Ikuhara as Ruka, did you know that he actually did Ruka based on himself! True fact, he reckoned he had to be in the utena world so he modelled Ruka on himself! Cool or what?

Yep, that was the reference. And it's true, you can see the similarity, especially in Chiho Saito's little cartoons of him in the manga.

As I was watching a recent movie, I spotted a human Anthy. That's what I remember thinking to myself.
It was The Wickerman. Whichever actress played the fragile-little-lost-waif-of-an-ex to the main character, Nicholas Cage - SHE - would be a perfect Anthy. Looks haunted and tortured, but then can pull out the bad ass!
She also had the very long wavy hair. Much like you hate to see a Santa with a fake beard, the actress who played Anthy would have to have actual long hair!

Hmm. I see your point, and the hair is perfect, but do you ever see Anthy with that facial expression in the series? It's far too emotionally charged for her. I just can't see this face doing "emotionally void." "Haunted," sure, but Anthy doesn't look haunted. Still, better than I thought at first.

Her face can express very strong emotions. But if you've seen her performance in "Bound" (and by the way everyone on this board should, especially the lesbians; there are some Utena parallels), you can see a very vacant-creepy Jennifer Tilly.
