This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

I see purple too...
I've seen REALLY convincnig Miki blue roses for sale, though the Ruka ones did leave some to be desired, but still still amazing, even though died.
If I see more, I'll buy and take pictures, but I haven't in nearly two years.

I think that's awesome. Now we just need green ones and we can have the complete Seitokai bouquet. It's too bad it'll be a while before you see these in rose gardens though...I hate being patient.

If it was more like 4, then it would be borderline blue at least but I'm still waiting for roses that look more like 5 or 6.

Yes, they look purple to me as well...I like purple better than blue so I'm sold

The more I look at them, the more I can't help but think they look a lot closer to Akio's rose than any other.
Now we just need to genetically engineer Akio

They're purple, dangit. Purple!
This has nothing to do with the fact that I wrote "The Purple Rose Saga" and everything to do with the fact that they're purple in every sense of the word.
Almaser: Yes please.

I agree with Tamago; I'm awaiting a TRUE blue rose. (haha...pun. Get it? "True blue"?)

I saw some other pictures in the newspaper that looked more blue than those on the web. Maybe it's a lighting thing...

Those already exist. I've seen them in person. Not dyed, either. Those were sold alongside them, for cheaper price.

To genetically engineer Akio, you must first genetically engineer Dios, THEN somehow splits him in half. It's a very tedious process to artificially create the Lightbringer.
