That would be SecuROM that has caused issues on quite a few machines.  Thankfully, mine has not been one of them thus far.  I'm hoping to back up my files today or tomorrow and finally install Apartment Life and Ikea and Kitchen & Bath stuff packs.  Since we'll be watching football all afternoon and evening tomorrow I won't be able to play Harvest Moon, so it's time to switch back to my absolute favorite game.

The only reason I haven't been playing has been due to school and the way that Sims 2 completely sucks me in.  Nothing gets accomplished when I get on a kick, and a kick can last 9 months if I'm not careful. ^^;

These are all so pretty.

I've finally made some original sims based on ancient Greek Gods since I'm a big mythology fan. These are newlyweds named Apollo and Athena Luminous. They spend most of their time reading, writing, and avoiding Apollo's ditzy twin sister Artemis.











Artemis, who is more extroverted than her twin brother, prefers to excersizing to reading.

Now that my computer can finally support the Pets expansion pack Artemis can have a dog. His name is Taylor and he is a sweet little schnauzer.



This is Rosie Thorne and her reverse harem. Despite the fact that they have no problem eating breakfast in their underwear together, there have been no hookups yet.



She tried to seduce Dan the resident playboy but ended up boring him to death.

I am too. A lot of people are whining about the lack of toddlers and pools but I must be in the minority because I always thought the toddler life stage was one of the most boring in The Sims 3. It's a pain potty training them when you are trying to accomplish the Surrounded By Family lifetime wish.

So am I the only one who made the jump to Sims 4, or did we kind of just stop posting?

I might have said this elsewhere, but something just did not click with me about Sims 3, and 4 does.

Anyways, a couple days ago, we got the Great Gender Update!  The devs passed it off as not really a big deal, but this stuff has always been un-editable before, and barring custom content, the Sims has always had some pretty narrow expressions of gender.  Last time I played before this, I was trying to dress some female sims in casual, not super feminine outfits, and a) it took forever, b) the results were meh, and c) compared to how much variety guys had in casual clothes, with girls I kept using the same few outfits over and over again.

Now, not only is all hair and clothes unlocked for all sims, (and some of the previously male hair looks really good on women) but all of the elements that define gender in the sims-- physical build, clothing preference, ability to get pregnant or get others pregnant, (not sure how this interacts with aliens) and ability to pee standing up-- have been unlocked and separated so one or all can be changed at will through the "change sim" interaction on mirrors.  Now I just hope they're all independently randomized on birth, though... the general Sims policy seems to be to leave LGBT content behind options menus and gameplay, and randomizing them all separately on birth would be likely to create populations consisting entirely of trans sims after a generation or so.  Also, mpreg for everyone!  And there was enough of a hew and cry over that when it was just aliens.
