This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
I just got the DVD of Talledega Nights, Un-cut, Un-rated version...
I had no idea that Sacha could make himself hot. He looks kind of sexy in a couple shots

If this thread is supposed to be about new DVDs, I just got my copy of Morning Musume's Odore! Morning Curry concert and Yoshizawa Hitomi is so fucking cool in it.

Hmmm... I picked up "American Beauty" and "Reservoir Dogs" last night... and was annoyed to find out Best Buy was out of Clerks 2. Meh.

The sig would be more fun if it were incredibly suggestive, but not thrown on people's faces. It's always more fun to leave something for imagination, after all - we can usually conjure up far worse things in our minds than anyone can describe in text, yet you can claim complete innocence for all those mental images.

I changed it anyway... I think the way I wrote it now is much, much better XD (I was originally gonna write it like this but I had change my mind...)

American Beauty
That there is a god damn awesome movie. Then again I'm a huge whore for Kevin Spacey. The guy just can't do wrong. I absolutely loved him in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. I was about to buy the book, but the same author wrote a book set in Venice, so I bought that one instead.
The last DVD I picked up was the four-disc set for The Blue Planet.
Why yes, I bought a nature show on DVD.
Wanna fight about it?

American Beauty briefly made me suicidal. It was that fucking depressing.
And the last DVD I *bought*? Cannibal!: The Muscial -- which is pure win. XD

If you found American Beauty that depressing, I have a list about five miles long of movies you need to avoid.

I own this. Best nature show EVER filmed IMO. And the bigger the TV, the better it is.

Heh heh...I'm a closet animal planet watcher... *sweatdrop*

I got The Thomas Crown Affair and The Devil's Advocate for christmas. Ohh, Manhattan, how do I love thee?
Thanks, J!

I got The Devil Wears Prada (which I didn't want, but am rather amused by) for christmas.
I'm going to get some dvds with the gift cards I got, but I'm not sure which ones, yet. Probably Arrested Development.

Quentin Tarantino rocks my socks. I seriously want to get Kill Bill on DVD... yay for swords. And severed limbs, and gushing fake blood.

I got the whole collection of Quentin Tarantino-directed movies last Christmas.
Most recently I bough a couple of volumes of Cowboy Bebop Remix from EBay, but they haven't come yet. Here's for hoping that I haven't been duped...

Ahhh...Tarantino, my friend. That. Is a crazy bastard. I've only ever seen his movies in bits and pieces. In a similar vein, though, I really like everything that I've ever seen Guillermo Del Torro do. Which is Sin City and Hellboy. I bought my own copy of Hellboy after the bf moved, but I have yet to get Sin City. Actually, there's a lot of dvds we had that I haven't bothered to replace. Like Fight Club, Arrested Development, Invader Zim, Chronicles of Narnia....
I'm ridiculously mainstream. I think my adoration of Bollywood is one of my few indie redemptions.

In that case, you should go see Pan's Labyrinth as soon as it comes to theatres near you. It's Del Toro's best work so far, I can guarantee that. I can't remember when I last saw such an impressive and beautiful work - it defies descriptions, especially if you want to avoid spoilers, but it's simply superb. It's very unlike other Del Toro's works, though - fairy tale for adults describes it very well.

Yeah! I've really been wanting to see that, but I doubt that it'll make it here to Florida. At least, not Orlando. Maybe the indie theatere i used to go to sometimes out in Winter Park, but I don't want to drive that far.... Maybe it'll be in theateres when I go to Seattle. Might see it with the bf in that case.

Well, I bought volumes 1 through 9 of Kyo Kara Maoh! over the weekend. And I just pre-ordered the special-edition, two-disc DVD set for The Departed

They say it's going to be "everywhere in US" later this month. I have no idea what "everywhere" means in practice, though, since I don't live there.
Incidentally, since you're a fan of Del Toro, I wonder if you'd know something about his future projects? The British Pan's Labyrinth site claims that he is going film H.P. Lovecraft's At the Mountains of Madness in the near future, after Hellboy 2, but no other source confirms the story - even IMDB doesn't have anything on the subject. Still, it feels wierd to think that an offical movie site would just pull off claims like that from their ass.
