How would you guys feel about a contest over who could mix the best drink on the theme of that picture? I really want to run some good contests on this forum, but I don't know who all is even old enough to do something like that... it might not be worth my time.

Then again, if I emailed Absolut and told them I was running a contest with their vodka, they might offer a sample or two as a prize...

I dunno. What do you think?

Yes, of course! You don't actually need to credit me, because a) I really don't mind that much and b) no one else has, but you you certainly can if you want to. (The, uh, fact that people enjoy it so much is, uh, credit enough? I don't know how to word that so that it doesn't sound like something Barnie would say, but I think my point comes through well enough.)

Ahhh...have some art. These are pretty bad, I did 'em at work and didn't spend very much time on 'em, but....hey, whatever. Also, remember, no decent image editing software, and a bad scanner.

So...strangely proportioned.

I wanted to do a Bollywood SKU piece, but Anshii is as far as I got.... emot-frown And I really don't like it all that much, except for her face. emot-keke

And here's the thing about vodka I've learned. Even if it doesn't come in a bottle (and it probably does) it isn't that hard to make yourself. o; I had a friend who used to fix cheap vodka with whole cinnamon. It was delicious and gave people stomach aches.

And on a vaguelly fanart-related note. Would anyone be interested in reading a fan work done based loosely on this? I've been playing with the idea for a few months now and I already have some sketches and a pretty good idea of the cast. I'll show off my drawings next time I get near a scanner. I lost my tablet in the war. ;/

There's a liqueur called "Parfait Amour" that I think would make an excellent ingredient in one of these mixed drinks. Here's a description:

Parfait d'Amour, or just Parfait Amour, is a violet liqueur with a delicate and soft flavour of rose petals and orange, and a subtle hint of vanilla.

In English the name Parfait Amour means 'Perfect Love'. It's aromas and flavours are obtained from Curaçao orange peel, vanilla pods, almonds and rose petals.

I'm a teetotaler, mostly, but there are several liqueur-type drinks that I'd like to try. Parfait Amour always sounded interesting to me.

Random idea for the contest: different drinks for different characters? Or is that too complicated? Forgive me, I'm a newb. emot-frown

- Leah, wondering if getting drunk can possibly be worse than Gabitril on an empty stomach...

BTW Blavod is black vodka. The coloring gives it a small herby taste, but it's black and can be floated on stuff. Perfect for BRS drinks.

I remember there was this drink at my Publix called Pink Dragon or something like that and it was literally Utena hair pink with a black and red label. It was pretty amazing. Didn't taste very good, though. emot-gonk
