This is the best I got. I did this...well it says last modified 1/31/2004, but I swear it feels like it's been longer.

But my point is there are certain aspects of Shiori's character that are dependent on Juri's character. Since Juri's so different in the manga, the Shiori we know and love cannot exist in the manga. Ruka and Mikage have a completely different story. Mikage has an implied existence in the movie since his hallway of a countless signs and elevator exist. Ruka, while also having a character dependent personality, still could exist in the movie because movie!Juri is still similar to anime!Juri.
We can always stick to the anime.

If there's one nobody's brought up that I'm devoted to, it's worth saying that I'm about the only Nanami/Mitsuru shipper I've ever met/heard of. She's clearly impressed by what he's become in his last major episode (I recall her blushing at something he says; what exactly is the context again? It's been too long), and she's had her fixation on Touga brutally shaken. There's clearly room for something to happen here.

You are all completely and totally wrong. Mikage/Utena is clearly the one true ship -- you can tell from the colour of their hair! Also Utena is the only person to ever a) nearly kill him and b) make his post-Nemuro self cry. CLEARLY THESE ARE A VALID BASIS FOR AN OTP.

What is this madness?! Everyone knows Nemuro lost all of his heterosexuality when he turned into Mikage. Therefore, this Mikage/Utena ship is invalid! (And we all know Utena only likes people who have lots of red in their color schemes.)
Theoretically, almost any of the characters could have a healthy post-series relationship. But only two characters have a healthy in-series relationship: Miki and Juri. And it could totally work as a romantic pairing because Miki is a girl~!
