This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
Happy Birthday to our pink-haired prince!

That's the best avatar to have next to the announcement, too.

To Utena, poptarts with some cool whip on top is probably an excellent cake.
Anyway I'm sure Akio will step up on the cake front.

Tomorrow! (today in some places!) is Utena's birthday. It was a total accident that i stumbled upon this. We should all celebrate by drinking tea and eating cookies. How are you going to celebrate?

(( Well... out of morbid curiosity, I looked it up.
Utena would be a Capricorn... which... weirdly fits. ))

I meant to do something, but I failed because reasons. Instead I'll post the link to one of the old birthday things I did, seeing as it's not up on on the main page of the site (still........)
La fille sans un prince
I haven't talked about this much, and who knows whether it will ever come to pass, but I would love to have a museum section on the site, somewhere to showcase all of the awesome, old dead sites that used to be hanging around the net. I was unable to get permission to recreate this site as all of the contact info is dead, dead, dead. So I went and did it anyway, on the assumption that if anyone does care they'll be flattered rather than upset.
This is probably the best Utena shrine ever made. It's unfinished, but seriously now, we're still not finished either. I don't think there is a point where you can say a site like this is finished. What's there reflects the time that it came from in terms of analysis and language used, so in some spots you might disagree or find it sophomoric-- but it's a piece of what came before, and I think it's valuable.
I hope you like it!
