This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
Hi everyone,
Sorry for making this an entirely new thread (and I apologise if someone already asked about this), but I had a question about a music cue used in episode 1. It starts at around the 11:30 mark of the episode (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TQFlVcPyUA). The piece is almost identical to the "Invisible Roses" track from OST 1 (Track 13), except that it's played at a slightly slower pace and has no orchestral accompaniment. Does anyone know if this version of the track was ever released on a soundtrack? Thanks!

I went through the OSTs and I didn't find it. I think it's unreleased-- Gio says she's run into a few tracks that weren't ever released.

Thanks a lot Yasha! I only own OST's 1-3, so I wasn't sure if it appeared on one of the other ones. Too bad it never got released; I almost prefer that piece without the orchestral accompaniment.

Yeah, it's really nice, isn't it? It feels kind of weird not to have any way of getting something. Oh well.

The most glaring omission for me has always been what's frequently used as Nanami's "theme", a piano version of "Yuuga no Kanojo", track 9 on the first OST. It drives me absolutely insane that it's not on any CD, because it's awesome.

Yeah, it really makes me wish I hadn't forgotten most of what I know about music. I bet that could be reconstructed with one of the music creation programs out there, but I don't have the skill to do something like that.

Sorry to necro this thread, but I also have a music-related question.
Does anyone know what the track is that plays when Chu-Chu is introduced for the first time in episode 2? It's such a cute song.

I think it's just called "Chu Chu" -- the tenth track on the first disc of OST 5. Link! -- with thanks to Darkless.net.

Thank you, satyreyes. This song always makes me smile, and in my head it's like I can hear the little noises Chu-Chu makes.
This song almost sounds like it belongs in a video game or something... Like a 2D platformer game starring Chu-Chu where he collects snack items.
