Miki: I can only picture him crashing and burning horribly. Like... club kiddie who works at Piggly Wiggly until he OD's on something bad.

Saionji: Policeman. Probably corrupt.

Juri: Marries a gay rich man and then never has to be ashamed of being a lesbian again-- too married to be gay, too gay to want to sleep with a man. No job.

Shiori: Actress, forever relegated to the casting couch.

I can't think of any more, and anyway, I'm butchering things here. I'll shut up until I have another serious answer.

Akio: Professional stuntman and film star. Still rides on the hood of his car, except it's covered in gasoline and flying over a row of exploding school buses.

Wakaba: Hostess at a family restaurant for a while. Later becomes a guide at Tokyo Disneyland.

Touga: Insurance salesman. Also owns an upscale gentleman's club in Shinjuku.

Nanami: Realtor. Almost single-handedly causes another housing crash.

Saionji: Repo man/debt collector. Most of his income goes to paying lawyers for assault and battery charges.

Juri: Professional model at first, but is forced to change careers after punching out a rival who insinuated she had fat thighs.

Miki: Permanent college student; tutors dumb kids while continuously getting extensions for his dissertation.

Tsuwabuki: Parks people's cars while studying to get a paralegal license.

I could see Miki as a doctor personally. And then burning out badly. Poooooor Miki...

OK, granted that one and the rest come from a fanfic I abortively tried to write, but I think a few of them work quite well.

I see Utena & Anthy running a bar. Utena makes the drinks, and Anthy serves 'em.

And I really like the idea of Touga as a psychiatrist. "Tell me about your mother!"

Actually I was kind of picturing Touga as the rock idol, girls throwing underwear and red roses onto the stage.....he and Saionji could team up and start a band!

I can see Juri and Nanami starting rival fashion design companies. Nanami, always worried that Juri will some how best her designs, at the last minute always adds these extravagant touches (like very large necklaces) to her shows, which leads to interesting results. (Both of these careers are of course inspired by "Nanami's Cowbell")

I can see Miki as a psychologist or a psychiatrist or something (yeah I can see him as a doctor, too, only dealing with mental issues.) I'm not sure why, maybe because Mikage interviews him that one episode?

Kozue should work in a casino. Or the porn industry.

Anthy could have one those animal-training companies. Obedience school, only for all sorts of animals, not just dogs.

Mitsuru could be a secretary to some VIP in government or business. He's so super organized, and he takes orders well, and even anticipates what his "superiors" need.

I can see Nanami as a vet. The irony is perfect!
Plus, maybe her little stint as cow might have left with an affinity for critters.

Possible Jobs for Shiori: Maid, nurse, stewardess, waitress, librarian...

Miki - Wears mascot costumes at Disney World Japan. Favors the Pluto costume.

Anthy - (creepiest) Walmart greeter (ever).

Akio - Sales associate at Macy's.

Touga - That guy in the mall who sprays perfume on you.

Saionji - American Idol judge.

You missed the obvious: Akio - Neo-con politician. He'd make a great Chicken Hawk.

Utena: She's on the dole. Because the last duel seriously f'ed her up. And she doesn't have any marketable skills to speak of.

Anthy: She works for the dole-office. She pretends to be nice and like she wants to help but in reality she enjoys screwing with poor unfortunates while giving a nice smile. Her and Utena meet up again when Utena cashes her unemployment check.

Akio: A very exclusive pimp in a very exclusive club. Doubles as one of the help then reveals himself to be the head honcho at whatever is seriously the worst time for the client. Moonlights as a circus ringleader. Has aspirations to become national deity of a very small country nobody's ever heard of. His evil plans are in motion as we speak.

Kanae: Call-girl, who happens to be engaged to the pimp. Not very good at her job: appears to be a bit out of it. Wonders why pimp makes her work at his club and why they're still not married. Whenever she starts to wonder this he feeds her "apples" and she stops wondering.

Touga: Call-girl, er I mean guy. Works for Akio naturally. The star attraction of the circus...er club. Men want him and women want his hair. He dreams of becoming a pimp one day...

Saionji: Lion-tamer at Akio's circus. But spends most of his time snorting crack. A crack-related lion accident leads to him being put on the dole and what happens to him at the dole-office leads to him needing more than crack.

Nanami: Trophy wife who lets her rich and fashionable hubby have as many affairs as he wants.

Tsuwabuki: Nanami's chauffeur. Her very hot chauffeur who has the hots for her, but she doesn't seem to think about men in quite that way. It's so sad and filled with much unrequited angst.

Keiko: Is sucking her way successfully up the corporate ladder. Visits tasteful club on Friday nights for time with her favorite call-guy.

Juri: An Olympian fencer who does lucrative commercials for tasteful high-fashion. Wears her gold medal around her neck and alternates between looking at that and her locket.

Shiori: A really bitchy receptionist. Paranoid that women are looking at her in that way.

Ruka: Juri's stalker. That's right, he managed to recover just to take up his rightful place in life. Is also on the dole to maintain his stalking activities.

Miki: Famous pianist. Still genius, now with full-blown compulsive disorder beginning to eat away at his sanity. Kozue not helping matters.

Kozue: Mooches off Miki. Went to collect dole payment once but after being looked at in that way by Anthy, decided to keep mooching off Miki instead. Apparently Miki's "manager" but all she really does is keep the fangirls away from him.

Mikage: Evil psychiatrist. No people skills whatsoever, but doesn't matter thanks to evil use of drugs to manipulate patients. Puts drugs in tea.

Mamiya: He works for the dole-office. Nobody knows who he is or why he keeps showing up every now and then. Anthy tells Utena he's her second cousin. Utena believes her.

I actually see Juri in this role more than Nanami.  Nanami's quite the wannabe when it comes to fashion, whereas Juri really seems to click with it.

As for the rest:

Utena - PE teacher
Wakaba - English teacher at the same school as Utena, why yes, they do become Nyamo and Yukari.

Anthy - I liked the new age shop idea.

Akio - Now here's the psychologist.

Nanami - Marries rich and becomes surprisingly involved in civic activities.  I really think she grows out of her bitchiness.  Perhaps atones for past sins by donating heavily to human societies.

Miki - Although he still can't get past the sister and piano thing, I could see him remaining heavily involved in music by becoming a conductor.

Saionji - I could see him instructing at and then inheriting a kendo dojo somewhere down the road.

Touga - President or CEO of a major corporation.  Or just inherits the family business, whatever that happens to be.

Kozue - Bar hostess.

Tsuwabuki - Zoo keeper! ^_-
