This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Revolutionary Girl, Interrupted, Utena. I really like that one because "interrupted" interrupts the title. A fine example of a non-Ashnodian mashup.
#14 The lands of Men are cleft by war, corrupt governance, and an insuperable foe from the East. The long-lost heir to the throne might be able to unite them, but no one can take him seriously because of his seemingly incurable stammer. One linguistic pathologist must work discreetly to cure his ailment so that the heir can rally his forces before the Dark Lord overruns the land.
#15 In a story that can only have been inspired by Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the Dashwood sisters fall from the lap of luxury and begin seeing dead people. In the denouement, it turns out that the story's snarky narrator was dead all along.

Bingo on both!
I have combed IMDB search results on the words "gods," "must," and "crazy," as well as several lists on Wikipedia and elsewhere of movies set on islands or in the Pacific or that have to do with hippies, and I still have no idea about #3.

Melancholic_Soul already guessed the one you must have in mind:

Which I had considered and dismissed because I can't find any evidence that Godspell happens on a South Pacific island.

She was right, actually. I must've missed that.
It takes place on Manhattan Island, but I altered the setting because I've never actually seen The Gods Must Be Crazy, and I don't know where the bulk of the action takes place.

Drop Dead Fred Claus?
Along the same lines...
#20 A highly trained assassin embarks on a personal vendetta to put a stop to a pair of time-traveling kidnappers specializing in historical icons. The memorable ending may cause your heart to explode, but at least your history report will be finished.

Not quite. Then again, it's not an exact match...but you should be able to figure it out.

I don't have answers for either of the currently active puzzles (#19 and #21), but I couldn't resist posting this one.
#22 The only film ever to be both a space opera and a rock opera, this stinker tells the story of an evil empire contending with a ragtag band of misfits led by a young man from the desert, who is able to perform miraculous feats. Also memorable is the antihero, whose heart may be gold but who seems to really like silver, too. The hero is ultimately captured by the empire, but he escapes in a surprising way. You won't believe who his father is.
