I wear makeup for 'special occasions' such as formal events/weddings and cosplay.  I do not wear makeup on a regular basis - I've been more focused on skincare as of late, and actually washing my face.  My skin never gave me any trouble per se, but I have noticed a difference through washing it and appropriately hydrating it.  I learned rather late in the game that I have dry skin.  Learning your skin type is so crucial to caring for it.

On the subject of makeup, I see it as transformational.  It's a pretty exciting tool, whether you want to look like you, a flawless poreless version of you, or someone completely different [special effects].
