And Edmonton is a hell of a lot closer to me than Homestead. Maybe I'll take half my vacation next year and drive up to see you all. It's only about an 18 hour drive.

RIGHT ON. I'm planning a similar escape, by means of grad school and/or the JET Programme. In either case, if I have anything to say about it, this time next year I won't be in Michigan.
Good luck with all the immigration papes. One question: To whom were you referring when you mentioned "immigration by means of marriage"? Or were you just speaking generally?
