I got him today, his name is ASS, or Atypical Samurai-san. So named because when I picked him up he tried to attack my hand, which proves he has no respect. He now lives on my desk, where he will continue to not show me proper respect but be very adorable.

AWWW, I love bettas!
I want one, but I'm afraid of changing their water and messing up- Especially dropping them.
My sister and I are thinking about getting some fish though, since our mother wants some. We're just not sure what we really want.
I also have froggies like allegoriest, but mine don't have spots. And they don't katamari. D:
And that marimo's not Paul, he's bigger isn't he...

Guys, guys. I have this thing, where my ovaries' instinctual predilection for things that are smaller than they rightfully should be has combined with my neurotic obsession with order, cleanliness, minimalism and preparedness and manifested itself into a love of things that are small and insanely well organized -bonus points if they are functional. So, things like first-aid, sewing and survival kits, bento boxes... and this guy's house capslocksmash the crap out of my OMFGCUTE button.
C'mon. It's so wee. He's like a Gypsy wid his widdle flowers on his widdle front porch and his water jug and you could totally kidnap him and his house all in one trip.

There's not enough cute in my life!
So....
PANGOLINS!
[excerpt]
Pangolins have large keratin scales covering their skin and are the only mammals with this adaptation. They are found in tropical regions of Africa and Asia. The name "pangolin" derives from the Malay word pengguling ("something that rolls up").
Pangolins are nocturnal animals, and use their well-developed sense of smell to find insects. The long-tailed pangolin is also active by day. Pangolins spend most of the daytime sleeping, curled up into a ball.
Also, super-extra-bonus cute... a freebie distributed at some male fertility conference.
Yup, that's a USB drive shaped like a sperm.
.... I want one.

Being the freak I am, I think baby copperheads are the cutest things ever. Say what you will about snakes, finding this pic on Facebook last night had me d'awwwwing hard for a while.
Baby copperhead trying to lure a lizard with its tail
And then there's this little female, who's owned by one of the people on the FB group for copperheads. I love how she looks like she's in gray scale

Christian the Lion
[from Wikipedia]
Christian was a lion originally purchased by Australians John Rendall and Anthony "Ace" Bourke from Harrods department store of London in 1969 and ultimately reintroduced to the African wild by conservationist George Adamson. One year after George Adamson released Christian to the wild, his former owners decided to go looking for him to see whether Christian would remember them. Surprisingly, he did, and with him were two lionesses who accepted the men as well.
