This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
So who else is being slowly killed by their school finals or anticipation thereof? I have two of them back-to-back this afternoon, and another two next week. I must keep my soul in my shoulder, because last minute programming homework is destroying my soul.

Had a physics and a Japanese final yesterday, JAVA programming this afternoon.
And then it's over. And I have to clean out the paper all over my floor in my dorm.

My national examination is in spring. We have write an essay in April, my English exam is in May I think, and so is History. The only one I'm worried about is History. I never wanted to do it, but my teacher insisted I'd take that exam.
Well, it's still better than Russian or Math.
But what I dislike most about all this, is that we have so many other subjects too. This means extra homework and minimum time for having fun. *sigh* I need some rest.

... I don't wanna talk about it. I took way too many classes, and I'm just going to hope it'll keep my GPA gradschool worthy (I have to have a 3.8 to be competitive ).
Except, it will all be over tomorrow. And then I'll get thoroughly wasted with my friends and it'll alllllll be ok.

My exams aren't until the second week of January. Generally, I don't really dread final exams. I enjoy having to be on school grounds for only a few hours, and the schedule is spread out enough so that it allows a decent amount of time to study for each exam. I'm not sure if it works this way at other schools, but at my school the final exams aren't required for classes that you average at a 90 or above. Unfortunately, I'm not a straight A student.

I've already plowed through the first half of my exams, and they were tres easy. Friday I have the big exam my Eng1B exam...so ye ha!

I loved exam days. Even when I did shitty in a class, I usually did well on exams.
That said, I'm still really glad that my SAT scores qualified me from having to take the CPAT this month. I haven't had a math class in years, so I would've flunked that soooo damned bad.

Oh man my exams just finished today. I gave a speech for speech class about how video games should be a legitimit artistic medium. Exams are tough but the exam days are fun because my friends and I bring in a PS2 and a TV and play games in the cafeteria between exams. It's lots of fun!

I already had mine... Kinda. As my major doesn't have exams... jsut deadlines and presentations.
My really huge project got destroyed and I had to do the whole semester worth of work in two weeks. Needless to say I'm sure I did preetty bad there... On another final I had to not follow the directions, or would have never finished at all, thus equalling MORE failure on my model. X__x I also did a plain horrible incomplete job in another class. ~__~
...I wish I could have taken tests instead. TT__TT
...I also had to move out of my room before my last final. WHY?

I'm done with my finals. I think I did okay on all of them, though I thought I did okay on my last psychology exam and completely bombed it so who knows. It's too late to change it now.

um um um.... I should be working on a scale model right now for my stagecraft class that's due later today and I need to polish the paper for that class too. Then there's the four dresses and paperwork I need finished by tommorow that has almost nothing done on it... um... yeah... *runs away from the computer to be chained to her sewing machine/pattern paper/rulers/ect for the next 48 hours*
oh... And I also have a few papers to write for another class that're also in on friday. O_@
Getting sick right before finals = NOES! ><

I SMELL LIKE FIXATIVE.
I only have a taxonomy class (since I have my BS already. I'm just keeping my mind fresh before I start grad school) but she's decided to give us tests every week in leu of the final. I'm kind of happy about that but more like perpetually paranoid.

I've been absent from the forums recently due to studying my ass off. I think I did all right... more valuable, I hope I've made a connection with my psych prof, as she works at the Uni here and I need all the friends I can get when I go there and try for a Master's.
Plus, I just plain like her. I've liked her from day one, but she seems inordinately impressed with my grasp of psychology so I can't tell whether she would talk to me outside of schooling or whether she's just relieved to have a good student.
Oh well. I'm glad I spent the time studying, even if I missed you all. I'll be online more often now.

I finished my finals on Tuesday. Chinese 101 and English 222 were both killers and (of course) they were on the same day. Still, I'm hoping for a B and and A respectively. Good luck to everyone else!

When my exams come, I'm going to have to disconnect the internet to keep myself from making excuses to come here every five minutes.

Ergh. Finals in Australian universities tend to start around early November. A.k.a, my birthday. So this year, I turned 20 in the middle of a Linguistics exam. Still, that was probably the easiest of the bunch.
Best of luck to all of you tackling them, and just remember; it's not about what you know, it's about what they want to hear you saying.
