This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Oh Lord, whenever I see that picture I can just hear Juri giving some impassioned evangelical speech on public access.

emot-biggrin *rotflmao* Hahaha that is so original! emot-dance I can totally picture that scene...

"A warrior takes sword in hand, clasping a gem to his heart...
Engraving vanishing memories into the sword,He places finely honed skills into the stone.
Spoken from the sword, handed down from the stone,
Now the story can be told..."

I'm glad you like it! I did that piece as an illustration for Alan Harnum's "Jaquemart".

By the way, I'd really appreciate it if you didn't hotlink from my site.

That is a really beautiful piece of artwork. I'm glad you're here so that I can tell you how much I like it. I just love Juri in a turtleneck sweater.

It can be found in the Artwork section of Alan Harnum's website, which can be found at http://www.thekeep.org/~harnums/fanfic/

Sorry about that. I wanted to upload it to my own server, but it was acting crappy. It really is a great sketch though.

Re: Juri & Utena:Couple's Therapy

I think that they could all use a decent therapist. The Black Rose Duelists could talk about the traumatizing experience at their last counciling session, and the Student Council could talk about the events that follow.

Juri: "As if that weren't enough, then she pulled a sword out of my chest." ;-;

Therapist: "And how did that make you feel?"

Juri: "... Pretty good, actually."

You can see it at my website, on the page devoted to Utena fanart. The URL with my avatar is the main page.

Jump directly to my Utena page at:

But don't miss Alan Harnum's site. Lots of fans sent art for "Jaquemart". If you enjoyed the story, the artwork isn't to be missed.

Thanks!

It's fun to draw these characters in something *other* than their regular uniforms. So what is my current work-in-progress featuring? Yup, mostly regular uniforms. But it does have Princess!Utena, which I haven't drawn before.
