This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

International Realtime Synchronized Utena Marathon

As mentioned on our fb group, a few of us (and some outsiders) are interested in doing a watching of a bunch of Utena from the comfort of their own wherever, at the same time, on the same day(s). With realtime chat/skyping/twitterysilliness/phonecalls as desired.

Basically, you take your set of the series, whatever format that is, and we all watch at the same time, from wherever we like in the world, and enjoy it together in spirit and via the magic of really fast technologies.

Completely off-the-top-of-my prospective date is currently early March, to give everyone time to sort whether they can get off work, dodge out on other people, or plan a fake illness to take off work and avoid other people or events. Six or seven people are in, so far, covering at least three continents.

Barring unforeseen job opportunities, I should be game for this. emot-biggrin

Akio, you have nice turns of phrase, but your points aren't clear and you have no textual support. I can't give this a passing grade.

Re: International Realtime Synchronized Utena Marathon

I'm definitely in -- weekends work best for me, unless I'm given plenty of warning to try and wrangle a day off work. Which I will actually quite happily try to do if necessary. But I do live IN ThE FUTURE (with my flying car and everything) so just bear in mind Saturday in the States is Sunday for me. Which is obviously fine, but Sundays in the States are my Monday which generally doesn't work. Obviously that's more or less the same thing for Australians, but everybody knows if you expect an Aussie to do anything on the weekend you're dreamin'. emot-wink

Sounds great... anytime other than tomorrow or next Friday/Saturday, and I'm in.

Anything that's not on a Saturday night Central Standard time or March thirty-first works for me. Is anybody on board for a Skype group chat?

I think Skype's the best way to go, probably.
