I love the boots, dollface!  Something else I could never wear, last time I tried on tallish boots, they wouldn't fit my calves.  emot-gonk

Lovely shoes dollface. I used to have a pair rather similar, but not all shinylike.

I made someone something really similar to that suit's top a couple months ago. emot-aaa

Today I got a black trenchcoat. It's a bit too short I think, but was on sale, and quite nice anyway.

Re: The shopping thread.

I spent around over $120 total a couple days ago on an old-school X-box and... *counts* 12 games.

Amazingly, 2 out of the 3 Burger King games are pretty awesome. I haven't tried Big Bumpin' yet.

And if there was some way to make an anime mod for Crimson Skies, I'd never leave the house. Imagine taking down zeppelins with a Valkyrie or the Swordfish. XD fckwin.

Re: The shopping thread.

Things I've bought lately:

two pairs of pants from Lane Bryant. ($10 each)
a shirt to go with them from Burlington Coat Factory. It's Shiori-colored and satin. ($10)
the last 8 episodes of Sorcerer Hunters....now I just need the middle. ($11)

And today....
I HAZ A NOO BED! Seriously, I've needed the damn thing for a year or so. ($330-ish)

God, the Devil, and Bob: The Complete Series. I only got to see one episode before they canceled it. There's 13 episodes total, but only 4 managed to air on NBC. Some parts of the country only got 2. Others got none. ($7)

Re: The shopping thread.

I made out like a bandit thanks to mass clearance at Sears.  I picked up another suit, for one thing: brown with white pinstripes, which came with a jacket, pants, skirt and top.  (It's really hard for me to find skirt-suits, so this find is all that more fortunate for me.)  I also picked up five dresses, four of which are rather formal.  Total: under $85 for the lot.

I also picked up a red halter top with a HUEG ornamental sternum thingie, two tops--same cut, different color--and a pair of gray slacks at Lane Bryant.  I plan to go back there soon for some serious jeans shopping.  I'm a little ashamed to admit that, as a "bigger girl," I'm just now discovering this place.  Now I just need a Torrid closer to my house and I'd be all set.

Re: The shopping thread.

I bought a sombrero in Cozumel, Mexico. I can't explain the temptation of buying a sombrero in Mexico, while knowing full well that I'll never wear it.

Other than some ice cream, that was all I bought in Mexico. I did more shopping in the Grand Cayman than in Mexico. I bought a sea turtle plushie, which I immediately named Jacob/Israel. (Cayman sounds a lot like Canaan, and I had that song about Jacob stuck in my head through the entire trip.) I haven't seen him since I got back, and I think my older sister might have taken him for my nephew to play with, and if that's the case, I'll be upset that she took it without asking. I love that turtle plushie. He was with me the entire time I was Grand Cayman, and she knows it.

I also bought some awesome pirate rubber duckies as souvenirs for my friends, a glass from the Hard Rock Cafe, (someone there asked me where I bought my turtle plushie,) a flute, a "Grand Cayman" T-shirt, a butterfly necklace, a cat beanie baby, and a kitty figure made entirely out of a pretty crystal material that makes rainbows in the sunlight. The shop we bought it in was filled with beautiful crystal figures. I wanted to work there.

In other words, I have very little Christmas money left. e_e Still, my only regret is not buying a shirt that said, "I went to Hell!" I also regret not shopping more in Mexico, but I didn't think I'd want to, given that I normally hate shopping. However, I discovered in Grand Cayman that shopping when you actually have money to spend is fun! emot-dance

I know this feeling very well.  I was able to justify it to myself and others though because I have a sort of hat collection.  "I may not wear this sombrero, but I can certainly display it!"

Re: The shopping thread.

Everyone who goes to Cozumel MUST buy a sombrero. I have no idea why. But it ALWAYS happens. This being said, I can never go, because I can never own a sombrero.

(Hey, *I* didn't buy my funny hat. It was a GIFT.)

I got it on ebay. Delicious ebay.
