This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Emma! Another person who loves Emma! I adore it. xD I'm a few eps away from finishing the series, but I keep putting it off because then it'll be done! *sulks*

Well, there's always the waiting for the rumored second season... emot-dance

As for manga artists... Osamu Tezuka is vastly underappreciated in non-Japanese fandom, I believe. Yeah, he did stuff like Astro Boy, which is interesting and sometimes fun in a establishing-manga sort of way, but the real gems that have been released in the U.S. are Adolf and Phoenix. The former is a WWII epic (that doesn't deal directly with the war, of course) about three guys named Adolf, a Japanese reporter, and the secret of Hitler's birth. The latter is Tezuka's magnum opus (cut short by his death) of a series of loosely-connected stories set backwards and forwards in time. They're both gold. Buddha is also quite good, though not one of my personal favorites.

I guess because he is old, his word doesn't get old though and he created most of the manga categories we use today.
