This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Utena P.P Cards

Hello:

First-time poster here. I had gotten into Utena a loooong time ago - the 1st year it came out I believe. I was collecting P.P cards of the show, but I never got around to finishing the collection. I was wondering if anyone out here has extras to trade?

I'm missing #2, 9, 13, 17, 21.

I have extras of #5, and everything else except for the ones mentioned above.

Re: Utena P.P Cards

Bumping this for views. I don't have cards myself, but hopefully someone else here does.

I'm wondering, though-- is there any art on the cards that we don't have in the gallery? We're always looking to add. emot-biggrin

Re: Utena P.P Cards

...pardon my ignorance, but what are P. P. Cards?

Re: Utena P.P Cards

I have a complete set with a lot of extras -- but not with me.  I almost certainly have dupes of 9, 13, 17, and 21, but I can't promise anything about 2.  I'll subscribe to this topic and check this evening, when I'm back in Tampa emot-smile

P.P. cards, for those who don't know, are probably the easiest to find of the Utena trading card series that were issued.  They've got official art on the front (and cards 1 through 6 are all sparkly!), and on the back they have things like duelist bios and duel summaries.  They're not really that exciting, but when I was in the merchandise-collecting phase I thought I needed them. emot-smile  I don't think there are many/any cards with art missing from the gallery, but I guess you might be interested in the layout of the backs...

It turns out I don't have dupes of any of those, which confirms my guess that no randomization is involved in the manufacture of those cards.  I really think they just designed six predetermined packs of cards, with lots of overlap between them on the non-shiny cards, and trusted that people wouldn't call them on its being nonrandom.  Find a pack with #2 on the front, and more than likely that pack will contain #9, #13, #17, and #21.  I can't even remember the site where I got mine anymore, but you'll want to email your vendor before ordering, or you'll just get more dupes!

Re: Utena P.P Cards

Since this seems to be the Cards thread. I have pics of them so I figured I would post them for all to see. They are my extras....
