Re: The Pop Tarts Thread

Observation: This forum has grown enough that maybe we need a FAQ of some sort. emot-aaa

I believe Tamago summarized it somewhere for someone else a while ago, but I don't remember where that post is...

It was an unplanned combination of The Sims 2 and SKUpidity in the other forum.  It was speculated that the burning down of Nemuro Hall was caused by Mikage leaving a poptart in the oven for too long.  This action in The Sims 2 causes a fire.  Someone made some panels in the SKUpidity thread expanding this idea, and Mikage's obsession with poptarts.  It slowly but surely, and unintentionally, became this forum's first in-joke, and is now the stuff of legend for those of us who have been on IRG since the early days. emot-keke

I believe that's how it all happened.  As I said Tamago was able to trace its origins, so maybe he can verify if I've got it all down right. (Or was it Razara?  I know it was one of those two... )

I agree. emot-smile Actually a couple updates have been released for PunBB since the forum launch, but I haven't dared yet because frankly, the forum is modded up its arse and it could be a gigantic nightmare trying to change anything. A FAQ shouldn't be too difficult to add, since it's really not part of the forum, per say, I just need to add a link to a similarly styled page in the top line. Is on the list. emot-smile

One other thing, for those of you who are pining for a beloved flavor of poptarts that you are unable to find, try netgrocer.com.  I found over twenty varieties there.

Can't stand poptarts myself, though.  Too bad there's no emoticon for vomit, so...poptart

Re: The Pop Tarts Thread

Pop Tarts are my naughty breakfast food of choice! Either frozen or heated... but I mourn for the loss of my chocolate mint Poptarts. But at least they've still got the Strawberry Milkshake variety... I think.

Back when I was a kid and they only had like five flavors, it was the berry kind with the psychedelic blue and purple. Yum yum.

I just spent a good chunk of the day driving my brother around so he could price-check a box of frosted strawberry Pop-Tarts at four different stores.  It was for an assignment, but the price-checked item was my idea.  school-sherlock

Ninja? I've never heard of it, but that would be one awesome Poptart.

I've just discovered s'mores flavored, and they're my newest addiction. Mmmm!
