Where can I get (good) english subtitles for SKU?
I'd like to loan my digital episodes of SKU to a friend who's never watched it ... what a treat they're in for!
I have .mkv files that are a rip of the remastered dvds. In Japanese language. But alas, no English subs.
Does anyone know where I can get a (well translated) English subtitles? (so srt files, I'm guessing)
I have the dvds but she doesn't have a dvd player.

I'm not sure whether it's region locked or how good your internet is in your part of the world, but Right Stuf has the entire show available legally on YouTube. The subs are the same as on the North American DVD's.
Good to consider if you have the technology and permissions.
Somewhere, there is an unplugged toaster sitting on a Coleman stove.
Does it feel lonely?

You don't need proxies, just install the "Youtube Unblocker" browser add-on. It has its own servers that it connects to for you if a youtube video won't play for regional reasons.

You could also buy a VPN. There are lots of ways to bypass. If you know how to set up your browser to go through a proxy, you can take that route as well. I don't usually install software, so proxies are the way I roll when I encounter region blocks.
