It's a small price to pay for Utena in a corset, ok?

They made a fake-lesbian porno version of Pirates of the Caribbean but that sounds so much better.

Re: I'm so ashamed of this.

Well, that could sorta kinda make Anthy Tia Dalma.

I think that's not a correct sentence structure. But whatever.

But if he's like...the right-hand man, wouldn't that mean Saionji would be Gibbs? And what about Norrington? Who would be Norrington?

No, ofcourse not. Akio is Davy Jones. emot-dance

Apart from minor differences in appearance, ofcourse.

EDIT: Barbossa is Mikage.

I can't account for the new one...but Gibbs is still better and sexier than Will. emot-gonk

But but...I liked Barbossa. emot-frown I don't know this Davy Jones fellow yet. Although Akio with a tentacle beard is a really, really bad idea...

How is Mikage Barbossa though? That guy was a ruthless backstabbing bastard. Also the whole apple thing.

Akio, you have nice turns of phrase, but your points aren't clear and you have no textual support. I can't give this a passing grade.

Well, essentially Davy Jones raised the Black Pearl for Jack from the depths of the sea, with the condition that after 13 years of captainhood, he'd spend a century as a lowly crewmember, a virtual slave on the Flying Dutchman. Naturally Jack had no intention of keeping the deal, but apparently hadn't bothered to think through how to wriggle away from his part of the bargain. As Davy Jones plays the part of the Faustian Devil in the film, he fits well in Akio's part, I think.

How is Mikage Barbossa though? That guy was a ruthless backstabbing bastard. Also the whole apple thing.

Which one? Just kidding. emot-rolleyes
Well, mainly because he stole Jack's position as the big man on the Pearl - much like Mikage does to Touga in the Black Rose-arc. cool
We'll have to see until the third film if there'll be any more similarities.

Women: PLEASE CAN I HAVE SEX WITH IT ALL NIGHT LONG

Oh, Johnny Depp. How do you do it? etc-love I wanted to rape his character in The Libertine before his nose fell off and he started pissing himself from the ravages of syphilis.

Once his nose fell off I wanted to cuddle him, because he was having a bad day. Then again, I've wanted to cuddle+ him everytime he appears on film!

Beware the day someone figures out how to clone him, for then will they have an invincible army! emot-dance

Re: I'm so ashamed of this.

Everyone wants to cuddle Johnny Depp. If you had enough Depp-clones, everyone who would stand against you would be so busy cuddling the clones that you could take over the world.

Ah but given the twist ending I just watched, I do believe Akio has no choice but to be Barbossa.

Come on. They need a captain to take them to World's End...and Barbossa pops up? (And apparently he owes his being alive to a creepy woman?) Will his pirate ship be red and purr nicely, by any chance?

As for Davy Jones...I'm less impressed with him. Except for the ABSOLUTELY AWESOME organ playing with his beard, which I rather liked staring at in every scene he was in because OOO IT MOVES AND SQUIRMS WEIRD. I want Davy Jones tempura! school-chef

Well, yeah there is that. But Barbossa is obviously inferior to Jack, so making him Akio would seriously mess up the power-relations.

As for Davy Jones...I'm less impressed with him. Except for the ABSOLUTELY AWESOME organ playing with his beard, which I rather liked staring at in every scene he was in because OOO IT MOVES AND SQUIRMS WEIRD. I want Davy Jones tempura! school-chef

Personally I enjoy his voice. "Do you fear death?" was a seriously cool introduction for the guy. He's got something classical, old-fashioned style about him that makes him damn cool, even though his looks aren't exactly attractive.

I've given a taught or two to a Utena pirate fanfic with, in my opinion, interesting powerplays and issues paralleling the series, but I suck at finishing my own writings, so I'll keep the idea on hold at least until I have enough time and motivation to get the whole thing done.
