Prototype Designs (A.K.A Gouki Othori, Utena Haruka, and Sienna?! )
So I saw this on Tumblr. I have no idea if it's legitimate, but apparently Akio was going to be called Gouki Othori and he looked a bit more like a stereotypical bishounen. Utena was originally Utena Haruka (a reference to Sailor Uranus?!?!) and looked like a boy. And I'm going to guess Sienna was supposed to be Anthy?
I'm sorry if this was already posted, but I did a quick search and couldn't find anything... Concept art, script drafts, prototypes are like crack to me. I just love thinking about the What Could Have Beens, and seeing how a work progressed through various stages.
Is there anymore of these initial drafts of characters?

I think that's a legit design as any! Though there's less of it out, I am sure that I heard of some more concept art and pitches floating out there. All I've been able to gather include that, a design that was going to be Touga with some serious "Flock of Seagulls" hair (here), and some pieces from the manga gallery on this site (here). There are a few more threads here about some former concepts for the show if you're interested!

I'm actually screaming at the Touga picture. I don't know where to begin...

Hmm...I like the design they ended up going with for Akio, but Touga and Saionji's old designs are intriguing.

It's so interesting to see prototypes like this. You can look at "Gouki" and see what eventually became Ruka. "Utena Haruka" has Kozue's hair.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm ever gonna make it home again.

Either the poster deleted their blog or moved/renamed it. :c Did anyone save those pictures for posterity?
