Technocolor hair
If the cast of Utena had normal hair colors, what would they be? 
Touga would have black hair with red highlights in the front.

Lesse, I guess it'd be:
Utena: Blonde
Anthy: black
Saionji:brown/dark blond
Miki: black
Juri: strawberry blonde/red
Touga:black/red
Akio: black
Mikage: pale blond/white?
But you know, originally the "technicolor hair" thing was implimented to help tell characters apart and make the old-school series look less bland

Though I do have this itching feeling that Nanami would be blonde.
Now Idea where that came from.
I think Anthy and Saionji both had Dark brown...

I always considiered Juri's hair as a light auburn, you know definately a red head but not as much of a red head as Touga. Touga is a true red head. Miki would have a deep brown. Shiori would be a dark brown. Akio a distinguished grey. Anthy black. Utena is blonde. Saionji is probably a dark brown. Chigusa... I think in real life you woudl have a brownish blonde hair color.

I actually answered a similar question on another message board. ArsenicforBreakfast is basically dead on. The only points of contention I have are that Utena and Mikage are strawberry blondes, and that Saionji is probably more of a medium or dark ash brown.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm ever gonna make it home again.
It's so far and out of sight.

I see them all with dark, nearly black hair.

Well, I pretty much took the colors wholesale from the manga. Chiho Saito doesn't have the same kooky concept of hair color as the anime staff, aparently. But anyway, yeah, Saionji had dark blond hair in the manga, so...yeah

I see Utena as a strawberry blonde myself... but the pink probably had something to do with that.

Well, if we want to go by the tone of their anime hair colors, and the suggestions of others, I'd say it's like this...
Utena - Strawberry Blonde
Anthy - Black
Akio - Gray (Jesus, how "old" is he supposed to be, anyway?)
Nanami - Ash Blonde
Touga - Dark Redhead
Saionji - Light Brown
Miki - Medium Brown
Mikage - Ash/Strawberry Blonde (Lighter than both Nanami and Utena)
Juri - Ginger/Light Auburn
As far as Touga goes, I have a cousin who has red hair that is practically crimson. I wish I had his hair. But, yes, a lovely sort of dark red hair does exist.
I've seen wacky hair colors translated into normal colors in Sailor Moon images, actually. It was interesting, and I quite liked it that way.
