Holiday Bragging: The Season to Receive!

I think the title explains it all. Tell us (or better yet, show us!) what kind of goodies you all have gotten your paws on!

Among lots of little things, I'm very happy to now own:
-A new camera! It's a Nikon, too. I feel giddy.
-CASH MUNEH etc-love Always a good scene.
-More Pocky than I should ever be given.
-Art supplies, yummy!
-Godiva. etc-love The sharp vagina teeth that women have slide back in when chocolate is around.
-NEON GENESIS EVANGELION PERFECT COLLECTION DIGITALLY REMASTERED WITH 4 DIRECTORS CUT EPISODES etc-wankgirl

I also got 3 very used, very worn out, very shitty frisbees. My uncle is a big frisbee golfer.

ah, man does not exist; ah, within the darkness; ah, the sound of the waves

Re: Holiday Bragging: The Season to Receive!

I feel kind of, um, embarrassed by all of the things I received.  I mean, I get so much stuff sometimes that it's a little...emot-redface

Anyway...

From my mom & stepdad:
$40 worth of merchandise from their store (homemade soaps, lotions, lip balm and jam)
Sewing machine
Toaster oven (with other nifty features--I think it has a rotisserie setting!)

From my brothers:
Chasing Amy
Mallrats
Flash Focus (Nintendo DS game)
$25 Barnes and Noble gift card

From my grandmother:
$15

From my mother-in-law:
Gift card to Pier 1 (unknown monetary value)

From my best friend:
Gift card to Bed, Bath, and Beyond (ditto above)

From Paradox:
Cardcaptor Sakura Character Songbook (CD)
Cendres de Lune - Mylene Farmer (CD)
Ainsi Soit Je - Mylene Farmer (CD)
Kaleido Star: New Wings thinpak (anime DVD)
Mystery Men (DVD)
Tokyo Godfathers (anime DVD)
Ping Pong (live-action Japanese movie)
Linda, Linda, Linda (live-action Japanese movie)
Confidential Confessions volumes 1 & 2 (manga)
Candy
A sweet letter along with "gift cards" for things like a back rub or going to see musical together

I'm a very, very lucky woman.

From the relatives across the pond, I got cash and the family got sweets. etc-love peppermint Aero.
From my brother, a PS2 game because he can play it too.
From one of my gaming group friends, a pound of coffee from Barefoot.
And from my folks, some snacks and a fabulous jacket and scarf. See the non-suited pics thread for those two.

Re: Holiday Bragging: The Season to Receive!

I gotted:

two Nightmare Before Christmas thermals
Nightmare before Christmas comforter (don't know what I'm going to do with that. I kinda' want to return it, just because it's one of those things that I won't ever really use)
Stardust (novel)
Imogen Heap
Tom Petty's Greatest Hits
Fantastic 4 box set
Manheim Steamroller chritmas album
Transformers dvd
Neverwhere
American Gods
Hellboy vol.1
gel pens
about $150 in cash

There was probably a few more little things, but I don't remember what all.

Sometimes I wonder if my parents really know what to buy me. Like, they got me a gold claddagh necklace last year. And it was sweet; they got matching ones for my sister and I, but,... I never wear it. It's gold, I don't have anything that really goes with it, and I already have a claddagh. Plus I just don't really like the look of claddagh necklaces. And the comforter this year. I already have a goosedown one that I'm never giving up. What on earth am I going to do with a Jack one? It doesn't really fit the color scheme of my room or my other linens, and it's not like it's something I'm really going to be able to grow up with, you know? I just don't want to hurt their feelings though, if I take anything back.

It's just kind of a wtf thing.

The first time you looked at her curves you were hooked
And the glances you took, took hold of you and demanded that you stay
And sunk in their teeth, bit your heart and released

Re: Holiday Bragging: The Season to Receive!

I got nothing for Christmas. Hmm, I don't think there's anything I'd particularly wanted anyway, which is a good thing 'cause I'm trying to save up for next year.

Also, tablet is a very good thing to buy, regardless of the season. ;D

Re: Holiday Bragging: The Season to Receive!

- Cammy, my dear camera.
- Video games. I got Paper Mario 3, Mario and Sonic Olympics, and Mario Galaxy. (I opened Mario Galaxy early.)
- The volumes two and three of Air, as well as the movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, and a nice portable DVD player.
- A statue-model or whatever they're called of Rin and Saber.
- A sketchpad so that I won't have to draw on the back of my English homework, though I'll probably still do it anyway.
- Clothes that I will be returning to the store. As thoughtful as it is, given that I can never find any clothes that I like while I'm shopping, what are the odds that clothes that other people pick out will be something that I'll wear?

AUTOCAD. The horrendously expensive gift of pain.
(It's for like, drafting and stuff. I actually vectored one of the movie BGs in it two years ago, but I can't find the damn file. emot-mad While its EVIL, I needed it badly.)

2 Bath and Body Works sheep. They're in quarantine cause they smell like that horrible store. Very cute though.

That Advent Children box set with the scripts and stuff. Awesome.
Final Fantasy Tactics (psp)
Hellsing Ultimate 3
Franz Ferdinand's You Could Have It So Much Better
A giant Pikachu plushie thing. It kinda scares me. It's huge. Considerably bigger than 360-tan.

My sister got me a plushie dachshund. I LOVE dachshunds. His name is Coney.

I gave everyone food. I made Fudge and other candies myself, and bought everyone else gourmet boxed sweets and such.  I think I'm also my mother's drink preparing slave. At least I've had confirmation mine are better than both Starbucks and the Bar by our house. school-chef
