The thing on eBay I want the most is the official $300 Nanami Cowbell. emot-aaa Everytime I see it, I try to convince myself that I don't need to eat for a couple of months and I should just go for it!

Re: ebay-tastic

I wanna know why that's so bloody expensive emot-gonk

I'd say maybe if the edges weren't damaged too.

But I've bought artbooks and old promotional Evangelion posters for less.

we've been rasterbating posters to put on the wall, and now have a HUGE shot of Utena and Anthy spinning from the opening of the opening and a HUGE Gendo that stares down at us. *cries* ...If the new apartment provides, we SO want to make a wall with the naked Anthy paintings from the movie.

I want one of the rings. emot-frown I get teased by it every day. emot-gonk
Or artbooks. I don't know what my obsession is with those.

Re: ebay-tastic

They are surprisingly inexpensive, no?

Of course, the quality of said cheap ones are debatable...

I really want to get one of those custom cosplay things... but THE SHIPPING IS WAY TOO MUCH!!!

People who make cosplay sets need to stop living in China.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's official Japanese merchandise, actually. You'll see it floating around eBay once a year or so. It makes me wish I wasn't poor. emot-rolleyes

Go for it, I've literally only seen it for sale on Yahoo! Japan once. Comparatively, one of my Akio posters and the Utena sammich are up relatively often.

Akio, you have nice turns of phrase, but your points aren't clear and you have no textual support. I can't give this a passing grade.

Re: ebay-tastic

Hehe, Utena sammich.

I wish someone would make a replica Sword of Dios. Or Juri's sword. Or Nanami's sword and dagger. Or Miki or Ruka's swords, but they're less interesting. I'd take out a second mortgage on my... wait, I don't own anything mortgageable. Um, well, I'd spend a lot of money on them.

Re: ebay-tastic

There's actually a surprising amount of Sword of Dios props running aroung. cosplaylab.com has a lot of memebers that do comissions and include that. There's a girl on there, kishuu I think is her username, who's working on setting up a way to do comissions fulltime. I was at her house a few weeks back (we're not friends, but we have a lot of mutual aquaintances, including her roomate) and she was working on sculpting the hilt for a trial run. She and her boyfriend are amazing artists, I've got no doubt that they'll be amazing.

Personally, I want Nanami's set, because that's one I couldn't make. THe others I think I could fake it if I had the time.

Or are we talking actual replicas, as opposed to cosplayprops? Because I know another guy that could probably do it, lol.

I love knowing artistic people. emot-keke

The auction for the poster ended a few minutes ago, and I forgot to bid. >_<

But no one else placed a bid, so maybe they'll put it back up soon.

Oh, save your money for the things that you need, dear. It'd be silly not to. Someone else will buy it and lend it to us all.

I saw two on Yahoo Auction Japan once; that doll is being sold and/or up for bidding from 3,000 yen to 5,000 yen. :)

I'm such a merch whore. But at the moment I'm holding out my precious few funds for any merchandise spawned by the new Slayers series. I'm crossing my fingers for UFO catchers.

I have one like this, except it has Lain's head and not Utena's.

Actually, that's a different series and comparatively common. I got that Anthy for probably seven bucks a bit ago. She's far from worth fifty.
