This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Feta cheese, peanut butter and pretzels. And yes, I mean real peanut butter, not the sweet stuff. Can't stand the sweet stuff.

Cheese and Marmite. I've never tried Vegemite but from what I understand they're pretty similar.

Actually, what's really nice is taking cheese and grating it. You then beat an egg in a bowl, add in a little milk and onion stock, and then the cheese. You then take fresh bread, spread it with Vegemite, and spread the cheesy mix over it. Add some little cut-up bits of bacon and grill in the oven for about five or ten minutes. Gorgeous. We call them mousetraps. emot-biggrin

As for the difference between Vegemite and Marmite -- there is some difference. Most people who have access to both like one and hate the other. emot-biggrin I'm odd in that I will eat either, but if I have the choice I'll go for Vegemite. I also don't know if mousetraps would work with Marmite, as the consistency is different; Vegemite is much less viscous than Marmite, and to me isn't as strong-tasting. Really, it's like the difference between Coke and Pepsi, or something. emot-tongue

It takes forty-seven New Zealanders eight months to make just one batch of 42 Below Vodka. ...luckily, that leaves one of us free to be Prime Minister.
