Heres something interesting and fun to make!!!

KITTY LITTER CAKE! school-devil

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
1 spice or German chocolate cake mix
1 white cake mix
2 large pkg vanilla instant pudding mix, prepared (I like Bird's® dessert mix)
1 large pkg vanilla sandwich cookies
green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls®

1 new kitty litter pan
1 new plastic kitty litter pan liner
1 new pooper scooper

Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions (any size pans).

Prepare pudding mix and chill until ready to assemble.

Crumble white sandwich cookies in small batches in food processor, scraping often. Set aside all but about 1/4 cup. To the 1/4 cup cookie crumbs, add a few drops green food coloring and mix until completely colored.

When cakes are cooled to room temperature, crumble into a large bowl. Toss with half the remaining white cookie crumbs and the chilled pudding. Important: mix in just enough of the pudding to moisten it. You don't want it too soggy. Combine gently.

Line a new, clean kitty litter box. Put the cake/pudding/cookie mixture into the litter box.

Put three unwrapped Tootsie rolls in a microwave safe dish and heat until soft and pliable. Shape ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly. Repeat with 3 more Tootsie rolls bury them in the mixture. Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over top. Scatter the green cookie crumbs lightly on top of everything -- this is supposed to look like the chlorophyll in kitty litter.

Heat 3 Tootsie Rolls in the microwave until almost melted. Scrape them on top of the cake; sprinkle with cookie crumbs. Spread remaining Tootsie Rolls over the top; take one and heat until pliable, hang it over the side of the kitty litter box, sprinkling it lightly with cookie crumbs. Place the box on a newspaper and sprinkle a few of the cookie crumbs around for a truly disgusting effect!

Adding to the insanity, does anyone have a recipe for really good guacamole?? I love the stuff and have a standard recipe but I'm wondering if there's any exotic ones out there that make the Best Guacamole Ever.

I am being half serious, I kinda gathered that Tootsie Rolls are some kind of dessert thingy over where you are but over here, a tootsie roll is a cutesy slang term for toilet paper.

If there's one thing I want to learn to cook, it's my mom's recipe for pancit.

Sadly, she never bothered to write it down before she passed on, but I'm almost certain my dad knows how to make it. So I'll have to get HIM to write it down for me... emot-dance

The way my mom always made pancit was vermicelli (can't remember if it was rice vermicelli or bean vermicelli) and chicken and soy sauce and carrots and celery and onions all stir fried together. Little more complex, but you get the idea.

Come to think of it, my mom made pretty kickass pancit, I should see how she did it.

Huh, celery. I don't think Mom's ever tried that. She's used snowpeas, carrots, onions, cabbage, and chicken, along with rice noodles.

My mom wasn't the world's best cook, I actually started cooking for the household at a pretty young age. Her pancit was awesome though. The reason we used celery was because she never had the time to go shopping at an asian market, and she's always been very economy-minded, so unless it was a special occasion, she would buy things we could use in a lot of dishes.

its a soft chocolate candy...very popular from where i am in the states...i dont know about everywhere else in the U.S... emot-confused

i just remembered! something i did with tootsie rolls! i was really bored and i had a really big one, and i was just kinda rolling it into a ball...then it had this....warm play-dough kinda feel...so i molded it into a sword of dios!! and put it in the freezer! emot-dance

it was yummy! like the ends of the world etc-wankgirl .....(take that as you will....) school-devil

i heard Vegimite is good (i dont know if i spelt that right....)

Vegemite is a fairly popular Australian sandwich spread, which is a dark brown, salty food paste made from yeast extract that was used in beer making.

I like it better on toast than in a sandwich myself but I would agree that if it wasn't for the fact I was raised on it, the very idea of spreading stuff that comes from the bottom of beer barrels on my toast would put me off but its still worth trying at least once in your life.

Just remember only to spread a very thin layer on the toast like it shows in the picture, otherwise, the saltiness and flavour might be a bit too much.

Americans cower in fear at the mention of Vegemite. It's like durian. However, Vegemite is apparently banned at the border to the US now. emot-mad This rains a lot on what I'd hoped would be a chance to try the stuff. It sounds gross but all the good stuff does, you know.

Thats a pretty dumbass reason to ban something? When I saw that link, for some reason I thought at first maybe that they banned it cos of some kind of terrorism laws prohibiting anything that could be used as a biological weapon or something stupid like that. emot-rolleyes
