This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

Thank you so much. This is what I need right now.

Don't give others your opinions to others' problems UNLESS they ask for it, some people prefer a silent audience to a objective idea offerer.

Do not grab an angry dog's collar.

When life gives you a lot of junk, make pretty sculptures with it.

There's a reason that most OS's have a clock in the bottom right-hand corner.  USE IT.  There's only so many times you can refresh your E-Mail.

If you don't hit the peacock with your car the first time, don't worry -- it'll still be in your driveway come lunchtime. ROUND TWO: FIGHT!

It takes forty-seven New Zealanders eight months to make just one batch of 42 Below Vodka. ...luckily, that leaves one of us free to be Prime Minister.

If you're getting soft drinks at a restaurant, make sure you find out how much it costs first, especially if it's not on the menu.

On the subject of beverages...

Drink water!  It's actually good for you, not solely a method to speed urination.

Re: The lesson of the day

I have learned that in the workplace, with enough bitching to as many managers in ear shot- even if they're not even in your section- along with documenting the ever living fuck of all your conversations and emails, will eventually get you what you need. Even if it's only being done to shut you the fuck up.

I've also learned that you need to pick your battles, and when to just give up and strike out on your own. If nothing else you'll know what doesn't work. And if anyone has a problem with what you've done, it then puts the emphasis on them to either put up or finally dispense the advice or instructions.

But mostly the documentation thing. Can't go wrong with that.
