I actually....am. I've never bought a figure before! I already preordered on Amazon but if the price for this one to ship isn't bad, I will switch. The price is right, I guess!

I am already thinking about casting!!!  I would LOVE to see Shuu Shiotsuki and Yuuga Yamato as Saionji and Touga respectively.  I think Yuuga would make a great Juri as well.  OH GAWD - I can't wait to see the costumes and wigs!!!

-Edit- OMG  Actually wouldn't Yugga as Akio be BOSS AF?!  I want them to keep the darker skin but as far as looking bad ass and in control Yuuga's got ta look in SPADES.

That's the route I'm hoping they take! (not gonna lie that's where I'm getting my casting choices from too- Like Coco who played Galaxia would be an excellent choice for Juri imo).

I've been so busy packing because...barafubuki is GOING TO JAPAN!!!

That's right. I was in alternate limbo all through summer and autumn, and the JET Program finally decided to upgrade me!!! I depart December 11!! What's more, I'm getting placed right in the middle of Tokyo!!! It is not a location I originally wanted, but I thought, "Well, at least I can indulge in my obsession with Japanese musicals...and go check out a bunch of other interesting performing/performance art..."

Guess who lost their mind when they heard an Utena musical was happening!?!

I was somewhere in the middle of the desert en route from California to Georgia on a cross-country Amtrak train and I literally pounded the table in the observation car so hard and screamed so loud that everyone stared at me. I then proceeded to start shaking and crying. The friendly nerd who I had been talking with while riding the train then decided to sit down and marathon Utena with me on my laptop. We only got through 9 episodes before he got off in Houston, but it was still a lot of fun! XD

I'm certainly going to the musical. Probably multiple times. And I'll try to deliver a full report.

FYI, I've been known to make audio recordings of the musicals I've gone to see, but I don't know how strict they will be about that in Japan. Probably won't try the first time I go, but if I watch it multiple times (as I often do with these kinds of shows) I might give it a try? (I've got big boobs and can easily hide a recorder in there. XD) No promises, okay? But I'll try.

I'm really hoping I'll also get a chance to meet Ikuhara!

Can I add Miki Kawasaki to the list of candidates for the roll of Akio/Dios as well? I haven't seen her in forever. (I think she got married and retired from the stage.) Even so, she has incredible charisma and was always playing the villains in SeraMyu!! I love her so much. If this was done 10 years ago, she'd be my ideal candidate for Juri. Using projection in Utena actually makes a hell of a lot of sense...what with all the planetarium and floating castle and surreal shit happening all the time.

Speaking of the Silent Möbius stage adaptation. Wataru Shiokawa played Ganossa Maximillian. The character is my favorite villain in all of fiction.
