This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)

There was a guy at the bus station who told me that Japanese hardware all had spy cameras planted into them. That was pretty entertaining.

It was hilarious. emot-biggrin

Headphones. You don't even have to listen to anything; just put the end of the cord in your pocket.

That reminds me: why are headphones enough to ensure that you're left you alone, while reading a book prompts at least some people to ask you what you're reading, whether you like "stuff like that", etc.?  I feel like a bit of an elitist for suggesting this, but are these people who never read and thus don't understand that reading can be at least as absorbing as listening to music?  Or is it just that they know that people without headphones will be able to hear them?

Because I grew up in a nasty small-minded sea-side resort and had short hair, I used to get yelled at in the street by chavs asking if I was a lesbian. The kids at school used to do it too.
Sample replies:

"Depends who's asking."
"Why, do you want to watch?
(if with a friend) "Sorry, we don't do threesomes".
  "Ask your mother ;)"

And so on.

Oh btw if you are working and somebody asks you if you work there, one of my favourites is:
"Not if I can help it".

I'm sure that's why. Asking a person with headphones on what they're listening to involves getting the headphones off, which is a significantly larger effort/intrusion into personal space.

What's funny, I've never been asked if I were bisexual. Answering 'No, I'm not' always makes me laugh.

Cool answers. emot-smile

My older brother introduced me with his friends and now when I see someone at age of 23 I hear: Hey, are you this cute and smart younger Paul's sister?
It's always the same sentence. ALWAYS. They know my name, but I'm Paul's sister. Yesterday 3 guys asked me about that.

But still, hare's question rlz.
