The perfect ending is not quite the best I think. Even though nobody got hurt and things was resolved, we failed to score a prince. I think I rather go with, better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all!

Thanks, Dalbun! You did an amazing job translating the daunting amount of Japanese in this game. Especially the wonderful Slippery Mambo and Slippery Mambo Redux! 
Here's the original design for Chigusa. (Please pardon the bad quality.) Looking at it again, I'm not sure if it looks more like Tokiko or a grown up Mari.

Grown up Mari looks great! She also has a slightly less rediculous top on. She's still far away from gender-neutral; no matter how girly the guys may look, none of them have a cleavage window. And she looks quite a bit older than a student would, like Mikage. Which certainly fits her character, but wouldn't work so well if she appeared the same in her flashbacks.

I agree with Ico, I think I actually prefer this original look for Chigusa. The game version looks like she dresses in the dark, to put it kindly.

Thanks for all the praise, everyone, and for following along! I 'm glad you all enjoyed the ride so much. It's also cool to raise the community's awareness of an obscure corner of Utena semi-canon. Maybe people will start using Chigusa and Nameless Protagonist in fanfiction now... I want to know what happens when D-ko returns to Ohtori.

I'm thinking that the original concept for Chigusa looks a bit like she could be a member of Shiori's family. That actually might explain a lot.

Wow...Chigusa's original design looks cool! But I can see why they changed it, though. Chigusa's final design has wispier hair and slanted eyes to make her look eerie and fragile, like a ghost who's truly embraced her position as a witch, whereas the first design reminds me of an older Utena or a short-haired Juri, someone too strong and stable to set a school on fire.
