This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
Raven, thank you. Could you tell me when it goes green? Also feel free to keep talking...it's always amusing or informative.

Bloody hell, I'm talkative today.
So, there's an update on the Daria DVDs. Read here.
TL;DR? Let me summarize.
The Powers That Be are looking to release it as a Complete Series Box Set, movies and all. They are also scouring the earth for any and all bonus footage. The episodes and movies themselves will be the original MTV versions, not the bowdlerized version from Noggin/The N. However, they didn't get the rights to the original music, so "substitutions" will be made in the form of either a cover or "the next best thing".
Release date is still set for Fall 2010, but there's a chance it could be out in Spring 2010. Prices haven't been released yet, but the magic word floating about is "very reasonable".
This is news to my heart, oh thank you Raven!!

Son of a bitch! Monk better not die just because some jackass got hit by a train! And if he spent all those years looking for clues about Trudy's death, why didn't he open the box sooner?

I'm sure everyone else heard already heard but tnt is getting "new" Law and Order episodes. Watching endless reruns gets boring after a while. I have to stop watching Law and Order SVU though watching it made me not even react to the creepy relationships in SKU.

I love you NCIS. Having it on DVD is magical, because, I've never SEEN the first episode. Less Ziva and more Kate. Kate my love~
Now I can see the first episodes, which I never have.
Man, I love Kate.

What were the two objects that Steven Colbert put at the side of the screen so that only people with wide screen TVs could see them?
I feel left out.

I haven't been on the forum as much lately. But anyway...
White Collar is coming back on this Tuesday. I'm pumped. Followers of the show will know that it ended on a Freakin. Epic. Cliffhanger. and I am totally excited to see how it will turn out.
I've pretty much blasted my way through Star Trek: The Original Series the past few weeks, and I'm having fun getting involved in that fandom.

I have finished the Original Coupling 1-4 seasons and it was great I have made love for the BBC Both meanings !

Modern Family is hilarious! The intro had the gay couple in the family adopting a baby and while they're on the plane a woman walking by says:
"Look at that baby with those creampuffs"
Then one of the guys gets up and gives a whole speech on why love knows no gender and then his partner whispers:
"Stop! She's holding creampuffs!" And the baby is playing around with them.
The guy just sits down and shuts up.

Modern Family is indeed hilarious! A must-watch.
As to Glee, Hiraku, I seriously enjoy it. It's biggest weakness is, without question, it's consistency. It jumps from incredible high moments to entire episodes which fall out of the continuum of the story to an amazingly heartfelt character moment to a plotline that makes no sense to, of course, the musical numbers--some of which are truly transcendent.
It's also interesting in that I think it really is better if consider the "Why" of it all. They get some flak about music choices that seem shallow, obvious or illogical, but once you dig a little deeper they end up making sense and even giving character insight. (That doesn't make much sense without examples, but I don't want to ruin anything for anyone by giving stuff away.)
I'd recommend it, with the knowledge going in that you're going to wade through some crap (not an overwhelming amount, but some). I thought it was worth it for the high moments--frankly I thought the last couple episodes of this 1/2 season were incredible--but some people might not. I'd say give it 4 or 5 episodes to win you over. You've got plenty of time, it doesn't come back until April.
I'll return to lurking now.

Hiraku: WATCH GLEE! It's all online at Hulu or whatever video site is partnered with Fox at the moment.

I love Glee. Lazypirate's summary is pretty good, it has a few moments that get annoying, but I think it was one of the only things on TV that I really got into enough to actually start watching it on TV, instead of just over on hulu or somewhere when I had no better way to kill time. The moments and fabulous soapyness by far outweighed what I didn't like.
I loved Daria too. I haven't seen it in forever, but I remember watching that a ton as a kid on vacation (because I didn't have the MTV at my non-vacation place ;;).

I was up one morning in early December when Ellen DeGeneres's show came on. A few minutes in, she said, "Are you an adorable kitten? Because that was purrrr-fect." Naturally, I set a series recording right away.
I had no idea she was 52 until I was her recent birthday episode. OMG SHE'S IMMORTAL!
