Funny you should ask!  A while back I tried to find decent songs for all the important characters.  I had mixed success, but I did find a few pairings that fit really well.  Second best is:

Other good matches are Anthy with Simon and Garfunkel's "I Am a Rock" and Akio with Evanescence's "Before the Dawn."

Hee! I love finding songs that fit the Utena characters. Nice Tori Amos choices. You can find Utena or Anthy in nearly all of her songs, can't you? "Crucify" also reeks of Anthy, and "Precious Things" I always thought would make a nice AMV for Shiori.

A favorite of mine is "A Man" by Alanis Morisette which I always thought fit Ruka thinking about his relationship with Juri, especially the stanza "We don't fare well with endless reprimands":

I agree with YostinAust's selection for Akio "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race".

I listen to a lot of classical and traditional band music. Y'know, the stuff symphonies play and all. The song that I see fitting all of the duelists during their duels (imagine like a massive, eight-minute long AMV) is Mars from Gustav Holst's Planets.

One of my choices for Utena in in regards to her feeling about Anthy and trying to be her Prince and such. You know, the whole mentality of protecting, regardless of her crimes. It's....Uh...."Silver and Cold" by AFI.:

I listened to "Animal I Have Become" by Three Days Grace, and it reminded me of Akio and his loss of his better half, Dios. I saw the connection. It's mainly in the chorus:

I must agree, Your songs suits him more. I have choosed Voltaire because of Touga's many masks and sense for drama. But Your song describes him in more "civil" and accurate way.
