Yeah they came out a few months ago.  I want them so badly!  All the 20th anniversary stuff of the animes I loved are soooooo... SOOOO- soul crushingly expensive.  I guess they thought I'd grow up to have a high paying job?  Some times I feel like Mikage (working for my Alma Mater etc etc.. We even have a clock tower with bells y'all).

I'm kind of hoping they do another run at some point? I don't know if that's a thing they do.

That said, I actually have paints in most of these colors from Angelus, because I got obsessed with making a replica of the Saurian brandy bottle from Star Trek. So I could conceivably do something very similar on my own anyway, and I'm kind of toying with the idea and waiting for the right base bag to cross my path, because if I'm going to custom job it, I want it to be real leather.

Haha thanks!  I love it in truth.  Someday if I’m lucky I’ll be a proper Professor of English.  And yes, they WAAAAY over estimated my ability to funnel money into these amazing things!  It probably doesn't help that everything I loved from my childhood/adolescence is turning 20/25 and getting new merch.  I squarely blame Sailor Moon.

I would love a reproduction!  It will depend on if they goods are selling to their liking as to if we get one though. 

You make custom bags? YOU’RE MY NEW IDOL. When I get some cash on hand I have a local leather shop I’m going to approach to make mine (no shame here).

Aw thanks!  Now that the sudden jolt of "Is this happening" has worn off, I'm pretty sure they just heard me saying I want a Rose Crest Ring.  Their browser history showed they were also looking at a Ring of Avarice (damn you Lantern Corps).   It's ok though.  If it happens, yay! If not, well... we'll see.

Utena was released for the Japanese market as individual music CDs, VHSs and LDs, followed by DVDs. For the 10th Anniversary stuff (2007), they issued the remastered CD-Box, DVD-Box and Blu-Ray Box, all of which got new artwork, packaging, remastered audio and video. For the 20th Anniversary (2017), they're only going to re-issue the Blu-Ray Box. Aside from new artwork, no additional contents are confirmed.

This website just added on the upcoming 20th Anniversary Complete Blu-Ray Box. So … nope, not a typo. It's legit. Think of it as a timeline for the remastered collection. You just can't purchase any of the older VHS, LD, DVD or BD copies, unless you find leftover stock at various retailers or auction websites. And that CD-Box will definitely be a super-tough find.

There's always a chance there will be special merch at the event, though I agree it's probably impossible to get a copy of the CD box. I made it to a secondary destination of the 15th anniversary event (had all the art but not Anthy's dress, etc, because they kept that for Tokyo only) and got a shadow play girls t-shirt and some other limited items.

So I'm working on buying these one at a time through a proxy service. Unless the Touga and Nanami ones get yanked out from under me I just have Miki left. I'll be scanning them because these are too fucking cute, and I can't recall the last time Saionji and Akio both get in on the swag party.

Depending on how bad my finances get...and they're getting pretty bad, I might sell them as a completed set as a site fundraiser. We'll see. This year is costing a fucking ton because they keep making new shit.

As for the new exhibit, I'm thinking seriously about trying to get together with a fan or two from Japan and seeing if I can be in direct contact with them while they're there, so that if there is something that's a must get, I can actually just send them the money in real time. Last time I missed some seriously awesome shit because no one sold it after the fact.

That old site is for the 10th anniversary, when they released new DVD remasters and the box set for the music CDs, which I do have. I actually just finished scanning its booklet.
