This is a static copy of In the Rose Garden, which existed as the center of the western Utena fandom for years. Enjoy. :)
The ones I read (and why, and possibly what it's about if necessary) are...well, let's just say that I have a very good reason to say that TV Tropes is a gateway drug.
Sinfest - Been going for several years for almost every day, weekends included. Quite an archive binge, really. Not sure who my favorite character is yet, though. Possibly Fuchsia and Criminy.
Misfile - The manga style is pretty awesome. Also, Ash and Emily deserve hugs for being such troopers.
Reasonably Clever's Brick House - This one's tagline is literally "where the lack of a plot IS the plot." Done entirely using Lego elements. The fourth wall is a bit weak with this one, though, so if you don't like fourth wall abuse you may wish to steer clear. Also, incredibly lame jokes and puns abound. Still all good fun.
Girl Genius - Showing the love for the Jagers and especially Da Boyz. I can't help but wonder whose Xanatos Roulette is going to fire off last and who's going to end up in one mental piece after the plans within plans within plans...
Dan and Mab's Furry Adventures (DMFA) - Technically a furry webcomic, but the story and art are good enough that you tend to forget that. The author is the sister of another webcomic artist, but really it's more they adopted each other's families. Very good read for those who like a strong mix of drama and comedy in a fantasy-present setting.
Castlevania RPG - Anybody familiar with Castlevania will like this one. While having knowledge of the series is a good bonus, if you have a vague idea about Symphony of the Night you'll do well enough. Really, the story stands on its own outside of the games. Also, Bunny rules.
Darkmoon's Silly Web Comic (DSWC) - Has more connections to Castlevania than the parent comic CVRPG, but also has lots of oneshot laughs at the expense of other games. The humor's also a lot cruder than CVRPG, but nothing a bunch of Utena watchers would be overly offended with.
Brawl in the Family - Technically a Kirby webcomic, but touches on a lot of other Nintendo icons. The one uniting theme is that all the characters show up in Smash Bros Brawl. A lot cleaner than most others I've listed, but still good fun.
xkcd - Showing the love for the raptor obsession too. I know I'm an egregious offender when it comes to cat proximity...how about you guys?
Ctrl+Alt+Del - Oddly, I wasn't bothered by the miscarriage event. I'm more concerned with how Zeke tries to fit in and ultimately fails because he may as well change his name to HK-47. Or T-800.

Came across some of the webcomics by the talented Evan Dahm. He really knows how to tell a story!
Here are some of his works:
Completed:
Rice Boy
Order of Tales
In-Progress:
Short Stories
Vattu
They are all different stories that revolve around the same world at different times.
Speaking of not-of-this-world webcomic, there's also Unsounded It's about a young thief girl traveling with a zombie.

Just discovered this webcomic, and I find it psychedelically delicious
Updates every Monday and Thursday, and had been nominated for Gene Day Award for Canadian self-published comic
Look Straight Ahead

I feel there's a deep, important message in this http://www.harkavagrant.com/index.php?id=202 somewhere. But, what could it possibly be?
And, just 'cause: Kiss the Girls - http://kissthegirls.comicgenesis.com/ - is fantastic, even if it's incomplete and been restarted with differences in style, pace, and arrangement something like four times, and then been abandoned for years. Unfortunately, this is one of the more serious versions, but Sapphire's pppprreeeeetttyyy, so. (Earlier versions include such gems as Alice revealing her sisters taught her you make snow angels face down, when they were kids and various degrees of glasses, sweater, and featherduster porn... er, service. (Which, reads dirtier than porn.)
The Princess - http://www.drunkduck.com/The_Princess/ - outsweets me sometimes, but I always come back.
Betsy R and Molly H's Amuse Me is apparently never coming back and the strips are all offline. (I saved them on a CD somewhere! Yay!) It was too good to live, really, and introduced the term "spine-babies" to the universe, so props for that.
Has Oglaf been mentioned yet? Because Oglaf. Oglaf. http://www.oglaf.com/

http://www.weregeek.com/ -- zomg, imo, this is one of the best comics I've read in a while. Geeks ftw.
http://onthebrightside.smackjeeves.com/ -- omg, this is SO adorable. hnnnnnnnnnng
http://conventionalwisdom.smackjeeves.com/ -- if you've ever been to a con, you've seen at least some of the things in this comic happen, lol.

Does reading comics about a drug-fuelled supervillain who clashes with the Justice League and literally worships cocaine as his god sound like fun reading to you?
If you said "Hell yeah!", have I got a comic for you-- Snowflame!
Offline
Dang it Yasha, I want to read that at work.
This webcomic is hilariously insane with a cute art style that is a nice contrast to the content...NSFW

Hey, thanks for the link, Sexing!
You know, I can't help but think that I'm not supposed to sympathize with Alice... but seriously! She's the one who clawed her way to the top of the whorehouse food chain, she's the one running all kinds of rackets and rings, and her stupid little sidekick starts becoming a liability? Fuck yeah, I sympathize! Kill that little bastard!

I am glad that you are enjoying it wait untill you meet Alina “Suka” Perovskaya People’s terrorist turned Russian mafia leader...
Yeah Elgie is such a cute pain in the ass; Alice needs to do something about fixing. Also she only gets better as the comic goes on, brains, looks, and moxie. I wanna be like that when I grow up.
Also Snowflame and him out running the Batman and Raven is pure Comedy Gold. I need more updates.

Why do I always find these things without even looking? Princess Princess. It kinda has an agenda, but the rest of it is so sweet that I can't hold that against it, and the art style is just adorable.

This thread's helping distract me from the fact dickwolves are, again, a thing. (I don't care who overreacted first, at some point you've got to acknowledge the asshole you're being by perpetuating a situation and knock it the fuck off.)
Anyone know how Poe's post-Exploitation Now comics are? I tried to keep up with one, but fell off pretty fast and then... forgot or something.

^ I am so sad that exists and that I know about it.
So, this explains depression in a manner I have rarely encountered.

I am not the biggest fan of the art style, but damn if her descriptions are not hilarious and spot-on.
Also, sadly this is my fucking life http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2 … adult.html

I don't really read too many webcomics, and when I do, it's not often. And most of the ones I would mention, I'm sure everyone's heard of(Wonderella, Perry Bible Fellowship, Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal, etc.) But this one is a little less well known and is hilarious. It's a fantasy sex comedy webcomic, and yes, I know that sounds absolutely terrible. But it's quite funny! Be warned though, it of course has graphic naughty bits, sexual situations, and basically everything you shouldn't look at during work or school.

Oh fuck, oglaf. I LOVE oglaf!
I also love hyperbole and a half's description of depression, but I have to say, the cake one edges it out as my favorite.

To this day I remember the cake vs pie graph. That was awesome, and it spoke my mind about why the sponginess exists in cake???
Thankfully, there is always cheesecake, all flavorful substance.
I have also recently come across a few more webcomics that are quite interesting:
Judecca: a webcomic about the dreary afterlife on the island http://judecca.co.uk/
Namesake: if you like new interesting take on realism and fairytales and literatures, this might be the comic for you: http://namesakecomic.com/
14 Nights: Not sure if I've talked about it before, but this comic is about relationship, approach to sexuality, and psychedelic dreams. Plus, the artist/author is an Utena fan herself, and the psychedelic nature of the dream sequence in the comic is somewhat inspired by the Utena series http://14nights.kstipetic.com/
Yasha Lizard: By the same artist as 14 Nights, plus the title of the comic reminds me of somebody...... http://yashalizard.kstipetic.com/
Everblue: My friend strongly recommended this comic. She said it felt like a cross between Avatar the Last Airbender and Miyazaki's movies. I think so, too http://everblue-comic.com/
O Human Star: A sci-fi comic about robots and neural networkings http://ohumanstar.com/

Anyone ever heard of Hero?
It's not finished, and it'll probably die soon (that's my luck) but... it's so god-damned pretty. And very, very melancholy. All, and I mean all of the action (with, like, one possible exception) is things that happen in the past. A lot of it is heartbreaking. And the manner of narration is nuts.
Also by the same person is To the Sea, which is a tiny fragment that will also probably never be finished, or, in this case, even added to. But the character building is awesome.

Maybe She Likes It is worth reading, but full of violence and nudity and stuff, so be aware of where you read it.

A friend just linked me to Chester 5000 XYV... aaaaand I read the whole thing. It's a short read because it's full of TOTALLY NWS SEXYTIMES WITH ROBOTS.

This is worth the double post. In fact, I would go so far as to say this is sheer gloriousness in visible form. In fact, so glorious that I'm going to break forum rules for it and just put a warning in the thread title.
I die, I die.

If you don't read Ty Templeton's Buntoons, you really need to be. Templeton's all smart about comics, and always in ways that don't scream "I am teh artsy genius!" He's a master of pacing, movement, and communication, and his heart and brain are always in the right place. His "If Superman Was Gay" was the most on-point and badass (understated) strip about any "if X was gay" conversation. Ever.
Linked above is a wonderful strip he did for a mutual friend who passed a few weeks back.

Give Ava's Demon a shot, ok?
Trust me. This is some top shelf stuff.
I suppose I could describe it as some X meets Y meets Z, but I wouldn't do it justice.
[Also, I've found Mystery Skulls to be perfect background music while reading it, for some reason.]
